Scope of Work for resetting works in the garden at CMR
The work consists of resetting the garden as per the following work requirement at 94, Horton
Place, a US Embassy owned property. All the work shall be in accordance with recognized US
and International Building and Construction codes. Construction shall be abide by all the Embassy
rules and regulations including security and safety regulations.
The methods that the contractor will use need to provide continuous progress on the job site
according to the projected time line of 24 weeks. Any changes in construction from this Scope of
Work shall be approved in advance in writing by the Contracting Officer.
All work described in this Scope of Work shall be completed by the contractor. The contractor
shall provide qualified supervisory, technical and labor personnel capable of meeting the embassy
requirements. The labor force shall possess masonry, gardening, landscaping, plumbing, and
electrical, paving, and painting skills for this project and sufficient staff to accomplish the work in
a timely manner. The contractor shall provide all material, necessary tools, equipment, vehicles
required for this work.
Contractor should ensure the minimum disturbance and no damages to the existing property of
the premises and inside the building.
Note: Vendor should carefully go through the BOQ and drawing provided in order to get the exact
requirement and this description provides the work detailing. Vendor is also responsible to ask
and get any details while the site visit is going on and even a later stage when they are preparing
the quotation before submitting the final quote

Work Description
1. All the work shall be in accordance with the provided BOQ and the visual plans detailed below
2. Vendor must consult the design firm for any details or clarification to get more information to get
the precise pricing for each line items of the provided BOQ.
3. Failure to include the costing for exact requirements in BOQ is solely the vendor’s responsibility and
the Embassy will not bare such cost under any circumstances.
4. All the work should be completed as per the project schedule that the vendor will prepare and any
deviations are not allowed. Especially the vendor must focus the ways and means of getting the
works done without disturbances and interference to the occupant of the house. The weekends are
not allowed and the day work should be started at 9 am and finish by 6pm. Vendor also should be
flexible to alter the days of the schedule if Embassy decide to allow weekend works when the
occupant is away for a certain period of time and such schedule will be informed a week in advance.
5. The design firm will provide supervisory assistance to the field works as per the embassy direction.
Vendor may provide additional details for any other related works with justification so that the
embassy may determine the necessity of such work for the completion of project.]

7. Vendor must be maintained the garden up to one years by replacing all the dead plants and any
damaged decorative items places as per the given details. Embassy will rousingly do the garden
works as per the directions given to them while the resetting works is going on
8. After the landscaping woks are completed, the garden and the affected area should be
retrofit to ensure original condition as applicable
9. Vendor should clean and kept the site free of debris and landscaping and/or construction
material at the end of each working day. Whatever material left in the site should be properly
stored with covers and barricade tapes and signs for safety and orderliness.
10. Any other related work to finish up professional resetting of the landscaping should be
consider with the quotation and included if such items are not adequately covered in the
BOQ. Embassy reserve the right to determine the necessity and include it or exclude.
11. All workers must use the safety standard as specified in EM 385, US Army Corps of
Engineers Manual. http://www.usace.army.mil/Safety-and-Occupational-Health/Safety-and-
Health-Requirements-Manual/. Vendor should adhere to these safety guidance and

standard. Fail to follow any of such safety standard will lead vendor to pay for the full
compensation and any fine involved as determined by the local and US authorities.
12. The Embassy reserves the right to inspect the quality of construction and to order
corrections or replacement, at no additional expense to the Government, of items
determined as not meeting the minimum standards.
13. The contractor shall clean up left over materials from the site(s) prior to the project’s being
determined as complete. No trash or construction debris shall be left in the project area prior
to acceptance by the Embassy.
14. The contractor shall make every reasonable effort to keep the job site clean during the
duration of the project.
