Thank you to everyone for welcoming these fine educators into our community. I thought it might be helpful to share photographs of teachers at their respective schools. We appreciate the opportunity to provide the students in our community a caring atmosphere as well at the opportunity to grow and develop academically. 2014-2015 will be a great school year! Mrs. Kim says, “Mia Claire always has a smile on her face and is ready to learn. He nominated him for his positive attitude as well as for the fact that he never complains, is always prepared, and works hard every day. Maelee is an 8 th grader nominated by Mrs. Sunny Riley. She nominated her because she is a hard worker and she is always willing to help others. Health Screen Free blood pressure checks were conducted on August 5 by Dorothy Burns and on August 20 by Debbie Dial. Education August 6 – Kris Moore with BHC presented a program on “A Heart Healthy Diet.” August 21 – Brent Work presented a program on fire safety and conducted a fire drill. August 27 – Constance Swift, Nichole Wilson and Tabitha Bonds with At Home Health Care. Events A group traveled to Jackson on August 19 to visit Casey Jones Village with lunch at the Old Country Store. Tamara Hall with ExtendiCare came on August 14 for bingo. August 15 we held a Red Neck Party; a good time was had by all. August 21 we held a Senior Appreciation with a fish fry. Thank you to Mrs. Cora Hughes for supplying the fish and Mr. William Avery for frying them up for us. Also a big thank you to all the ladies who helped in the kitchen. On August 27, Constance Swift, Nichole Wilson and Tabitha Bonds with At Home Health Care conducted a bingo game and brought prizes. August 29 Melanie Greene with Reelfoot Manor & Rehab brought the fixings for Coke floats.
