• Magnifying lens- also called a hand lens- to make objects appear larger.
• Metric tape- used to measure length and is flexible to measure around objects.
• Microscope- uses several lenses to make objects appear much larger.
• Camera- helps to collect data to show change over time.
• Funnel- used when pouring a liquid such as water or a solid such as salt into a container.

• Filter paper- separates solids from liquids.
• Graph paper- to make charts and graphs to display data.
