Classwork/Labs:
Activities/labs we do in class for one or more days….Wiki, Moodle, unit related tasks/labs
Homework:
Tasks assigned to practice concepts and vocabulary taught in class.
If you miss a class (lesson, absence from school) it is your responsibility to make up the missed work. Pick up missed work from the Absent Crate Area. You may get information/direction from a study buddy, or your teacher, during flex.
Quizzes:
3-4 quizzes will be given throughout each marking period
They are vocabulary and concept based
Homework, Classwork, and Quizzes can ALWAYS be improved for a better grade . Corrections need to be done on a separate sheet of paper and stapled to the original.
Quizzes ONLY can be signed by a parent to also receive 10 bonus points.
Tests:
There will be one unit test each marking period
Our units are: Scientific Tools and Measurement, Geology, Chemistry, & Ecology
HealthHealth will be taught as mini units in between our 4 science units. Health grades will be combined into each student’s overall Science grade—it will NOT be a separate grade.
Units: Germs & Disease, Self-Esteem, Personal Safety, Nutrition
