Last week Instituto Verde Valle had its “Science and Technology week”, some presentations were good, but some of them were bad, here you’ll be able to check out some of them.
Cameras
Verónica Vargas and Allen Barragán presented about cameras; they explained who invented them, how, when, and the evolution of them. It was a really good presentation with a good explanation. Verónica didn’t show any nervousness, she was sure of herself and she explained good, Allen wasn’t nervous neither but he talked a little bit quickly, despite of this, it was really good; the slides were very clear and
short, not too much text, not too little. They also brought an example of an old camera and a new one. An example of a modern camera can be seen in figure 1.
Sodas
Camila Parrilla and Minerva Albarrán presented about sodas; they talked about the elaboration process, the different types of flavors, and even about who invented the Coca‐Cola. The presentation was good. Camila was good, she didn’t show any kind of nerves, and she gave a good explanation. Minerva was good too, she said what she had to say, she explained it and it was
ok. The presentation was good and clear, they explained it clear so there were no questions. They also explained about the origin of Coca‐Cola: a man was trying to do some kind of syrup, but it was too sweet, so people bought it because of the flavor. You can see some examples of sodas in figure 2.
Conclusion This week was good, and useful. You can clearly notice the evolution watching first graders presenting compared to the third graders. All presentations were good because the people who presented learned, as well as the people that watch them present. It was hard for the students, they began to get stressed, but they finally did it. Cameras are really useful to take pictures at the exact moment and get memories every time we see them. Sodas may be “delicious”, but actually they can cause you even diabetes.
