SCIAMACHY PMD images during BBC2

PMD = polarisation measuring device

• SCIAMACHY has 8 spectral channels with a spectral resolution of 0.2-1.5 nm, and a spatial resolution of at best 60x30 km2.

• SCIAMACHY has in addition 7 PMD channels which have a low spectral resolution (about 50 nm), but a high spatial resolution of 7.5x30 km2 (across x along track).
