Workshops can take place at your school or at Women's Circus Training Centre, The Drill Hall.Please discuss any access requirements with us. Women's Circus is committed to making our workshops fully accessible.

CLOWNING AROUND
Through improvisation, theatre games and the "red nose", students create their own clown character. This workshop includes a short performance to allow each clown a moment to shine! Perfect for larger groups.
GIRLS TO THE FRONT
This one is for the girls! Girls to the Front is a new Womenʼs Circus program focused on providing space for young women to move, be heard, share ideas and stories and develop confidence and leadership skills. We'll look at the role of women in contemporary society, talk about issues facing girls today and support girls to acknowledge their personal strengths.
RISKY CIRCUS
Students learn to take risks, gain confidence and trust each other in this exciting workshop. Try your hand at tumbling, handstands, juggling, human pyramids and more.

1 large room or hall for a maximum of 40 students

Terms & Conditions
Locations 50km or more outside of Melbourne CBD will incur a slight price increase for
extra travel costs.
Cancellations can be made by email or phone at least 14
days before the first incursion date.
Any cancellations made after this period will incur a 50% charge of the total incursion
cost.

UP, UP & AWAY
Join our expert Trainers at the Drill Hall, Women's Circus Training Centre, where students can work with the specialised aerials equipment. Fly on a trapeze, climb a rope, rock in a cloud swing. Students will test their boundaries and learn to fly!

The Drill Hall
Located next to Whitten Oval and near West Footscray station, the Drill Hall has been Women's Circus home since 2006.
The training centre is equipped with specialised circus gear including tight rope, trapezes and trampolines.
It can accommodate groups of up to 75 students and is fully accessible. Features include on site parking, a large community kitchen, wifi and a community room.
Who are Women's Circus?
Started in 1991, Women's Circus provides ongoing training, artistic and community programs for women and their communities. We are considered sector leaders in the use of circus as a tool for positive social change.
Over the years, Women's Circus has worked with hundreds of schools and thousands of students to support student wellbeing, physical strength and creativity.
Our approach is to create a safe and inclusive space where risk taking, empathy, imagination and innovation can thrive.
Our Trainers
Women's Circus has a team of over 15 female trainers who are experienced working with such diverse communities as asylum seeker/refugees, LGBTQI, Deaf and HoH and women.
They have trained and taught at some of Australia's top circus organisations including the National Institute of Circus Arts, Circus Oz, Westside Circus and internationally.
All Women's Circus Trainers have current Working with Children checks and First Aid certifications.
