Department of Professional Development Schoolnet Landing Page Information
The purpose of this document is to help Schoolnet users become familiar with the Schoolnet Landing Page.
Features Descriptions Illustrations
Schoolnet Landing Page
The landing page is the main of Schoolnet. From
here teachers can access a variety of data needed for
the day to day operation of their classroom.
Tabs at top of page
The tabs at the top of the page will give you access
to school and district data, the ability to run reports
on assessments, instructional material, and
the ability to create assessments.
Home Button Use the home button anytime you want to
return to the landing page.

Materials
The District Announcement window is a place where the district can let teachers know of
upcoming events.
By clicking on the Schoolnet Training
Materials a new window opens that takes you to a
variety of training resources.

Tab
Found on the right side of the page, these tabs allow
teachers to view data concerning district and
local tests, classroom tests they have created,
standardized tests, as well view upcoming assessments.

In this section, the teacher will find a large variety of resources.Teachers can use Schooolnet as their
hub to link to all the various places they need to visit during their work
day.
My Calendar
The calendar will allow teachers to view events
posted by the district such as upcoming assessments and grading period dates.

Assessment Details
Teachers will be able to access student assessment
data straight from the landing page. By selecting the assesment in the drop
down box, teachers can view individual student
data.
Student Profile Page
By clicking on a student from Assessment Details, a
teacher can access detailed information about
each student such as phone numbers, address,
and attendence information.

How to Create a Student Report

How to Create a Student Report Department of Professional Development
The purpose of this document is to help Schoolnet users create a student report that shows basic information, report card grades, unit and semester assessment data, and STAAR data.
Step Action Illustration

Choose the class that the student is
in from the dropdown under My Classroom.
2 Scroll down and click on the
student’s name for the report you want to create.
A new screen will open showing the
student profile.
Click on Create PDF at the top right of
the page.

Click the boxes for each filter you
want to include on the report.
The click on Create PDF.

Pre-‐Formatted Reports Department of Professional Development
The purpose of this document is to assist users in analyzing STAAR data from Schoolnet.
Step Action Illustration

From the Landing Page, hover over School$
District Data and then click
on Pre-‐Formatted Reports.
A new window opens.

To find the STAAR reports
created by the RAAD department use the Unit Semester Assessment Reports on the right side of the page.
The Score Group Analysis report will break the
data down by campus
teacher and their class.

Click on the report you wish to use.

Change from Current
Enrollment to Total
Enrollment. Then select the year you want to
examine from the

the Benchmark Test Level you wish to examine.

Next select Test Category from the drop down menu and select STAAR/EOC

of the preformatted reports in Schoolnet.

The purpose of this document is to explain how to access Item Analysis data reports and related curriculum in order to make effective data driven
instructional decision.
STEP ACTION Illustration 1 Login into Schoolnet
2 Scroll down to “My classroom” and select the teacher and section using the drop down
menus.
3 Select the assessment you wish to view data for using the drop down menu under Assessment Details.

4 Hover over the heat map to review performance percentages
descriptors. Yellow indicates Phase 1 – Level 2 (Passing).
5 Hover over each bar for a quick review of
student performance by assessment. Each bar represents one
assessment.
6 Click on filter students to select students by perfomance levels.

7 Click on “Item Analysis” to access more detailed
data.
8 Order by “Standards Performance”
Items will be organized by lowest to highest
performing.

A gap between standards indicates several items on the
assessment covered the standard.
10 Click on “Highlight Low Performing Students” and then on “Total
Score” next to “Student Name” to review data based on performance
by student.

11 Click on the small arrow next to “Section-‐Wide Percent Correct”
to compare performance to campus, area and
district.
12 Click on an Item to review specific data and GISD curriculum directly correlated
with the standard being assessed with the selected item.
13 Click on the yellow box next to the standard to access GISD curriculum directly correlated with the standard being assessed with the selected item.

By clicking on a number a new screen opens
that shows which students performed at the different levels of the
assessment on the TEKS.

Finding a Test Key Code Number

Finding the Test Key Code Number Department of Professional Development
The purpose of this document is to help teachers find the number code for any test key.
Step Action Illustration

Using the tabs across the top of the page,
hoover over Assessment
Admin.
Then click on Find a
Test found on the right side of the
small window that opens when you hoover.

opens. Use the filters to
select the Subject and Grade Level
of the assessment
you are seeking.
Once you have
selected the filters, click
on Go.

3 Afterselecting Go, you may select the test you want to view from the bottom of the screen.
Click on the test you want to examine.

The Test Detail
screen will open.
You will find the test
code number after the
name of the assessment.
5 You can also see the test key code by
selecting Upcoming Tests from
the tab under
Classroom Assessment
Monitor.
Then select the
upcoming test for the code you
want.

The purpose of this document is to assist users in finding curriculum, copying learning plans, editing the plan, scheduling the plan to the calendar, and submitting the plan to the school bank.
Step Action Illustration

To find curriculum from the Landing Page, scroll
down until you see the red
curriculum box.
Click on the grade level or subject you want to examine.

This is the learning plan. To make this
your lesson plan you want to copy it by
clicking on COPY from the top right menu.

Click edit to change the learning plan
into your lesson plan.

In Section 1 rename the plan to one that will be easy to find when you or
your colleagues search for it.
You can also change the duration if needed.

Click on Section 3 to edit the
info in the plan. Change or
adjust anything you need to
adapt the plan to your
classroom. When
completed click view materials at the bottom of
the page.

Now we are ready to
schedule the plan to the calendar. Click on
SCHEDULE from the top right of the plan. A calendar pops up. Select the day you wish the plan to
start. Next click SAVE AND GO TO PLANNER.

The plan is now in your
calendar. To delete the plan, hover over it
and click on the trash can.
To move the plan, drag it and move it to the new date.

To find the plan in your
resources, click on CLASSROOM using the tabs across the top of the page. Next click on
INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS.

Click GO TO MY MATERIALS to find the lesson
plan you created
previously.

You will see all the materials
you have copied or saved here. Click on the one you want to examine.

You can share your lesson plan with the school
by clicking SUBMIT TO
SCHOOL BANK. Your principal or department chair will
approve the plan.

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS.

To find the plan, use the search features on the left. Select the subject and
grade level and any key word to find the plan

1 From the Landing Page click on the Go
to KPI Dashboard link on the right side
of the page.

A new window opens that shows the user KPI information such
as STAAR and Unit Assessment data.
By clicking on the Benchmark Test tab you are able to run
reports on any of the District Assessments.

Test tab.
This allows you to select a test you
want to analyze data upon.

How to Delete a Scantron

How to Delete a Scantron Department of Professional Development
The purpose of this document is to explain how to delete a scantron in the Schoolnet system.

Hover over Assessment
Admin at the top of the
page.
Scroll down and click on
View and Score
Responses.

On the Score screen select
the test by choosing the Subject and Grade Level.
Once you click Go the appropriate
tests will populate at the bottom of the page.

want to delete the
scan.
Click on the test.

the Test Detail page.
Under Test Actions click
on Score Test.

Student tab if deleting
one student.
Choose Locate a
Section to delete an
entire class.
