Solve the following questions:Q1-A ray is incident on a material with an index of 1.50 at an angle of 56 degrees to the normal. If the ray is traveling from air what is the angle of refraction? (Round to the nearest degree.) What is the angle of deviation? What is the speed of light in miles/second in this material?

Q2. Calculate the number of allowed modes in a multimode step index fibre if a = 50 μm, core index of 1.48 and a cladding index of 1.47 at the wavelengths of 0.82μm and 1.3 μm.

Q3. Calculate the mode field diameter of a single mode fibre that has a core with a diameter of 7 µm, the core index of 1.458 and the cladding index of 1.452 at the wavelength of 1.3 µm.
