Accreditation Trinity Christian School is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and Hawaii Association of Independent Schools (HAIS) and is a member of the Association of Classical & Christian Schools (ACCS). Grade Point Average The GPA is computed annually and cumulatively. All courses except Team Sports and Drama Performance are included in the GPA. Advanced Placement (AP) and Honors courses are weighted. Trinity does not rank its students. Curriculum Trinity Christian School’s curriculum is a rigorous college preparatory program. All students are required to enroll in a comprehensive core of classes. Trinity follows the classical pedagogy where students move through the natural stages of learning, with mastery in the intellectual skills of memorization, logical argument and presentation. Studies include classic works of Western civilization and Socratic dialogue. The culmination of a Trinity education is a two-week Grand Tour of Europe and a senior thesis presentation. Debate is a graduation requirement, and TCS has sent both speech and debate teams to the National finals. Community Service Graduates of Trinity Christian School must have completed a minimum of 100 hours of community service. Hours are evenly distributed among the community, school, and a local church.
