Brief History of Graphology

The science of judging handwriting was used 3000 years ago by Nero, the

Roman Emperor and Aristotle, the Greek philosopher.

In 1622, Camillo Baldi, an Italian physician wrote the first book on Graphology-

“How To Judge The Nature And The Character of A Person From His Letter”

.

In 1800, Germany, established 'The German Graphology Society”.

In 1920,Abby Michon established 'The Graphology Society” in Paris.

In 1926, Edgar Allan Poe established a Research Institute of Graphology & published

his system of analysis, based on thousands of handwriting samples.

At present, the practice of Graphology has been widely used all over the World.

In Europe, graphologists have been leaders in the study of Graphology, and

Psychology curriculums in European Universities require studies in

What is Handwriting Analysis?

1.Handwriting Analysis (Graphology) is the scientific approach where one can read a person like a book. eg; It reveals who we really are and how we think

and behave. It is an x-ray of our mind or our brain prints.

HAND WRITING is BRAIN WRITING

Handwriting comes from the subconscious mind. How?

When we first begin to form letters, we have to think about how to make each one of them.

After a short time, our subconscious mind begins to take over the duties of forming the letters, then words, sentences etc.

Then we only have to think and our subconscious mind sends minute electrical impulse to our hand telling us how to write.

In other words, our brain or subconscious mind actually forms our writing as a result of habit.

The pen is merely a tool, directed through the movement of our fingers, by impulses that originate in the brain. The message is sent via the nervous system to our arm, hand, which motivates the pen to produce the writing.

How does one analyze the writing?

The blank paper that you write is your new day.

How you write on the paper reveals as to how you use your day.

Every letter, word, sentence placement reveals something about you.

The Size, Shape, Spacing, Pressure, Speed, Zones,Slants, Connections, Margins and Signature etc....can tell everything about you.

What is graphotherapy?• Graphotherapy is a therapy which makes conscious changes in your

handwriting, this results in positive subconscious changes in your personality.

• Grapho-therapy is a reversal of the normal writing process: Your hand

sends messages to your brain— the root of various ills such as laziness and lack of determination; absence of concentration, frustration and anger, shyness; depression; low self-esteem and inability to get over past incidents and failures.

4.How reliable is graphotherapy? Graphotherapists all over the world have won the support of doctors,

teachers and psychologists for the success rate in children. Graphotherapist have found that many of children's 'inner problems'

showed up clearly in their writing. After a lot of research, a set of corrective exercises was designed to

give children a sense of equilibrium. Like remedial exercises, Graphotherapy is another method, used to

help children with emotional problems.

5.Can any untrained person or anyone practice the same graphotherapy exercise?

You are NOT supposed to try out any handwriting exercise without consulting a graphologist because if you undertake a wrong exercise, it can backfire.

For example, if the self-esteem of a criminal is raised, he will just become a better criminal.

A wrong exercise can make one depressed or even suicidal. So one should be very careful what exercises you take up.

Not all letters are changed as part of graphotherapy. A trained and certified graphologist undertakes the responsibility,

under his/her guidance.

Method and sessions of Graphotherapy

Course Duration – 3 Months, Weekly 3 Sessions (45 min. per session) with the

help of a trained and certified graphologist. Later 30 days at a stretch about 15 minutes everyday without

fail. (This can be done at home with supervision). If the therapy is discontinued even on the 28th day, you will

have to restart all over again.

(However, these sessions may vary from person to person)

The method is very simple and very safe and just needs a little dedication on both the parent's and child's side.
