Genesis 2:1-2 “Thus the heavens and the earth, and all the host of them, were finished. And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done.”

The Ark rested

Genesis 8:4-6 “Then the ark rested in the seventh month, the seventeenth day of the month, on the mountains of Ararat. And the waters decreased continually until the tenth month. In the tenth month, on the first day of the month, the tops of the mountains were seen. So it came to pass, at the end of the forty days, that Noah opened the window of the ark which he had made.”

Solomon is a man of rest

1 Chronicles 22:6-11 “Then he called for his son Solomon, and charged him to build a house for the LORD God of Israel. And David said to Solomon, My son, as for me, it was in my mind to build a house to the name of the LORD my God: But the word of the LORD came to me, saying, you have shed much blood and have made great wars: you shall not build a house for my name, because you have shed much blood on the earth in my sight. Behold, a son shall be born to you, who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies all round: his name shall be Solomon, for I will give peace and quietness to Israel in his days. He shall build a house for my name; and he shall be my son, and I will be his father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel forever. Now, my son, may the LORD be with you; and may you prosper, and build the house of the LORD your God, as He has said to you.

A man of rest shall build the house of GodThe environment around us is actually the extension of yourself.

The Sayings of Jesus

Matthew 16:18 "And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.”

Matthew 4:19 Then He said to them, "Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men."

Understanding Divine Arithmetic

Jesus

Ephesians 4:8-10 “Therefore He says: "When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive, And gave gifts to men."(Now this, "He ascended" -- what does it mean but that He also first descended into the lower parts of the earth?He who descended is also the One who ascended far above all the heavens, that He might fill all things.)

Jesus must first descend before He can ascend.

The Children of Israel

Deuteronomy 6:23 'Then He brought us out from there, that He might bring us in, to give us the land of which He swore to our fathers.”

Israel has to go out before they can go in.

Moses

Understanding the Womb of Revival

1) Matthew 1:23 "Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Emmanuel," which is translated, "God with us."

●Revival is God with us

2) Luke 1:26 “Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth,”

●Nazareth was the last place you would expect God to visit.

3) Luke 1:27 “to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin's name was Mary.”

● Revival will come through people with a life of consecration and holiness.

4) Luke 1:34 “Then Mary said to the angel, "How can this be, since I do not know a man?"

●True revival is not the work of man but of the Spirit.

5) Luke 1:35 “And the angel answered and said to her, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.”

●Revival power is born of the Spirit not from man.

● It is based on God's word.

7) Luke 1:46-48 “And Mary said: "My soul magnifies the Lord, And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Saviour. For He has regarded the lowly state of His maidservant; For behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed.

● Revival will come through brokenness and humility.

8) Matthew 1:18-19 “Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit. Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not wanting to make her a public example, was minded to put her away secretly.”

● Willing to go through the risk of being misunderstood and accused by others.

9) Luke 2:6 “So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered.”

● She endured months of sleepless nights, discomfort and pain.

10) Luke 2:7 “And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.”

● The willingness to push and travail while others were sleeping.

11) Luke 2:8-11 “Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. Then the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. ● The first company that witness the birth and visitation of God are the shepherd (lowly and humble people) not the wise men.

● The birthplace of revival is usually found in a despised place and not on elegant and glamourous stage.

PROPHETIC ARTICLES (SHOFAR & TALLIT)

The Shofar

Shofar means “beauty” made from the horn of a male sheep (ram).

The ram that was sacrificed in the place of Isaac on Mount Moriah.

It speaks of redemption and provision.

Shape of the Shofar

The curved shofar is symbolic of a contrite heart repenting and bowed down in worship before God.

Sounds of the Shofar

1) The Tekiah – Consists of one note (blast)

2) The Shevarim – Consists of three short calls

3) The Teruah – A series of staccato notes in succession combined with a loud shout of the people.

4) The Tekiah Gadolah – A single unbroken blast held as long as possible.

Reasons for Blowing the Shofar

1) To announce God's presence to worship & praise Him.Psalm 47:5-7 “God has gone up with a shout, The LORD with the sound of a trumpet. Sing praises to God, sing praises! Sing praises to our King, sing praises! For God is the King of all the earth; Sing praises with understanding.”

Psalm 98:6 “With trumpets and the sound of a horn; Shout joyfully before the LORD, the King.”

Psalm 150:3 “Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet; Praise Him with the lute and harp!”

2) To rally the troops against the enemy.Nehemiah 4:20 "Wherever you hear the sound of the trumpet, rally to us there. Our God will fight for us."

Judges 3:27 “And it happened, when he arrived, that he blew the trumpet in the mountains of Ephraim, and the children of Israel went down with him from the mountains; and he led them.”

3) To Start the Battle

Joshua 6:20 “So the people shouted when the priests blew the trumpets. And it happened when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat. Then the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city.”

4) At the End of the Battle

3) The Ark of the Covenant returns to Jerusalem

4) Coronation of King Solomon

1 Kings 1:39 “Then Zadok the priest took a horn of oil from the tabernacle and anointed Solomon. And they blew the horn, and all the people said, "Long live King Solomon!"

7) Building of the Second Temple

Ezra 3:10-11 “When the builders laid the foundation of the temple of the LORD, the priests stood in their apparel with trumpets, and the Levites, the sons of Asaph, with cymbals, to praise the LORD, according to the ordinance of David king of Israel.And they sang responsively, praising and giving thanks to the LORD: "For He is good, For His mercy endures forever toward Israel." Then all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the LORD, because the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid.”

Angels blowing the Shofar

1) The Lord descends on Mt. Sinai and giving of the Torah to Moses

Exodus 19:16-20 “Then it came to pass on the third day, in the morning, that there were thunderings and lightnings, and a thick cloud on the mountain; and the sound of the trumpet was very loud, so that all the people who were in the camp trembled. And Moses brought the people out of the camp to meet with God, and they stood at the foot of the mountain. Now Mount Sinai was completely in smoke, because the LORD descended upon it in fire. Its smoke ascended like the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mountain quaked greatly. And when the blast of the trumpet sounded long and became louder and louder, Moses spoke, and God answered him by voice. Then the LORD came down upon Mount Sinai, on the top of the mountain. And the LORD called Moses to the top of the mountain, and Moses went up.”

2) The Messiah's 2nd coming and at the resurrection of the dead.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 “For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.”

1 Corinthians 15:51-54 “Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.For this corruptible must put on in corruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible has put on in corruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: "Death is swallowed up in victory."

3) The Judgement of the earth during the tribulation

Revelation 8:6 “So the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.”

Talit – Jewish Prayer ShawlNumbers 15:38-39 "Speak to the children of Israel: Tell them to make tassels on the corners of their garments throughout their generations, and to put a blue thread in the tassels of the corners.

And you shall have the tassel, that you may look upon it and remember all the commandments of the LORD and do them, and that you may not follow the harlotry to which your own heart and your own eyes are inclined”

Deuteronomy 22:12 " You shall make tassels on the four corners of the clothing with which you cover yourself.”

Talit means “the covering of the Lamb”

A garment with tassels (Tzit – Tzit) or strings on the corners.

Consists of 3 long strings and 1 short string.

Tie the 3 long strings together with the 1 short string, it will become 3 in 1 (symbolical of the Holy Trinity).

When you tie up the 3 long strings together with the 1 short string, it becomes 2 strings.

There are 4 corners in the Talit and 2x4=8 which is the number of the Messiah.

The strings are then put through the hole in the corner of the Talit.

The hole represents Eternity.

It is only through the Messiah (Jesus) that we come to God in Eternity.

John 14:6 “Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

New Testament Examples

1) Woman with the issue of blood.

Mark 5:27-29 “When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment.For she said, "If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well. Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction.”

2) Jairus daughter raised from the dead.

Mark 5:41 “Then He took the child by the hand, and said to her, "Talitha, cumi," which is translated, "Little girl, I say to you, arise."

“Talitha cumi” should be read as “Talit ha cumi” which means “Little girl, covered by the talit, arise!”

Folding / Rolling up the mantle (Talit)

1) Elijah rolled it up which means end of his ministry.

2 Kings 2:8 “Now Elijah took his mantle, rolled it up, and struck the water; and it was divided this way and that, so that the two of them crossed over on dry ground.”

2) Elisha did not roll it up.

2 Kings 2:14 “Then he took the mantle of Elijah that had fallen from him, and struck the water, and said, "Where is the LORD God of Elijah?" And when he also had struck the water, it was divided this way and that; and Elisha crossed over.”

3) Jesus folded it up

John 20:6-7 “Then Simon Peter came, following him, and went into the tomb; and he saw the linen cloths lying there, and the handkerchief that had been around His head, not lying with the linen cloths, but folded together in a place by itself.”

The mantle was folded up by Jesus which means “It is finished.”

4) Peter removed his mantle

John 21:7 “Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, "It is the Lord!" Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his outer garment (for he had removed it), and plunged into the sea.

Peter removed his mantle (talit) because he gave up his ministry.Peter put it back again because he wanted to continue his ministry again.

The mantle (talit) is meant to be passed on

1) Elijah threw his mantle on Elisha

1 Kings 19:19 “So he departed from there, and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, who was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen before him, and he was with the twelfth. Then Elijah passed by him and threw his mantle on him.”

2) Elisha took up the mantle that fell from Elijah (2nd time)

2 Kings 2:9 “And so it was, when they had crossed over, that Elijah said to Elisha, "Ask! What may I do for you, before I am taken away from you?" Elisha said, "Please let a double portion of your spirit be upon me."

2 Kings 2:13 “He also took up the mantle of Elijah that had fallen from him, and went back and stood by the bank of the Jordan.”
