School Holiday Program

BOOKING & PAYMENT PROCESS Fees: St Philip’s Community OOSH Vacation Care full daily fee is $58.00 per child. The Government’s Child Care Subsidy (CCS) can reduce fees payable for families who have been assessed as eligible and have confirmed their enrolments at our centre, within their myGov Centrelink online account. You will receive more info on this 2-step process once you are booked in. Meantime, you can view info here: education.gov.au/childcare You can enquire and register online via your myGov online account, contact Centrelink on 13 16 50 or visit a Centrelink office for further information. If you are not eligible for any Child Care Subsidy, or have not yet successfully claimed your eligibility and confirmed your care arrangements through your myGov account, there will be no fee reductions applied to your account. In this case you will be invoiced for your booked care at our ordinary full fees rate. Please return the attached booking form, with the days you would like your child to attend our Vacation Care program, as soon as possible so you don’t miss out. We will then email you an invoice for your selected days & excursions, reduced by any CCS reduction estimates if entitled, to give you a ‘Gap Fee’ ‘Total Due’. Pre-payment of the ‘Total Due’ will need to be received in full by 17th September 2020 to secure your child’s Vacation Care enrolment. If pre-payment of full Vacation Care fees upfront is problematic for you, a payment plan (instalments) may be arranged, if agreed to in writing & payments begin prior to 17th September 2020. Please contact the OOSH finance office if you need to make this arrangement, by emailing trish.bray@spcc.nsw.edu.au Last minute bookings may be taken, if there are places available. Pre-payment will still be required before Vacation Care begins, in order to attend.

CENTRE HOURS 6:45 am – 6:00 pm We are open from 6.45 am. A parent/guardian is required by the Commonwealth Government to sign their child in and out each day they attend. Please allow time for this, and ensure children are collected on time. For any children collected later than 6:00 pm a Late Fee of $15 per 15 minutes or part thereof will apply. We have an automated security entrance gate to the OOSH/VC grounds. If you do not have one of our auto-gate-fobs, you will need to order one from us or you will not be able to access the site! Children will only be allowed to leave the Centre accompanied by an adult over the age of 18 who has been nominated on the enrolment form. Notification is required if the child is to be collected by anyone not nominated on the Enrolment Form. Photo ID (Drivers License) may be asked for before Educators allow your child/ren to leave.

CENTRE RULES

Centre and Program rules are established for the safety and wellbeing of all children. Consistent disregard of Centre rules may result in exclusion from the program, following consultation with staff and parents/guardians. Please see attached Behaviour Guidance Procedure attached. **Signed Behaviour AGREEMENTS are required to be returned prior to children being accepted into the Vacation Care. (This is only if you have not signed one previously).

Swimmers, Rash Shirts and Towels are required if we are visiting Oakvale Farm and Water Play Day. (Not in winter)

No food is provided by the Centre unless specified on the program of activities, therefore we ask that you ensure you pack more than enough food for the day. Your child will need morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea. Please remember that we are an allergy friendly Centre, so we ask that you do not provide any nut products in your child’s lunch box. We also ask that you not provide food items containing sesame seeds including humus. We are unable to take responsibility for, or secure valuables (including toys, electronic games etc.) or money children bring to the Centre. Children are encouraged to not bring any such items to the Centre. Electronic devices are not allowed except if indicated in the program. We do not allow internet access to children at OOSH so please do not provide devices that children can access internet. Please note that mobile phones are not allowed at all times.

WHAT TO WEAR Please ensure all items of clothing are clearly labelled. Please ensure that your child wears appropriate clothes to the Centre each day ie, NO SINGLETS or singlet dresses. If your child is dressed inappropriately for the day’s activity or is not dressed appropriately to meet our sun smart policy you may be requested to collect your child from the Centre or to provide appropriate clothing.

Please ensure your children wear a hat and enclosed shoes each day. Children are not permitted to wear thongs or sandals. Remember to pack a jumper if needed

If your child is allergic to sunscreen please provide your own.

EXCURSION DAYS

Excursion costs have been incorporated into your invoice for those who are booked into an excursion day. Any remaining excursion costs must be paid on the day when signing your child/ren in. Failure to pay this may result in your child not attending the excursion. Parents/guardians are also required to sign the excursion authorization form when dropping your child/ren off on excursion days. A risk assessment for each excursion will be displayed near sign-in book on excursion days. Children will not be able to purchase food or souvenirs whilst on an excursion, so please do not send any money with them.

MEDICAL, ABSENCES and CANCELLATION POLICY

Sick children are not permitted to attend the Centre as they may spread infection. If you need us to administer medication to your child, you must complete a Medication Authority Form which you can collect from Staff. Medication must be in its original packaging, clearly labelled with child’s full name and dosage. If you have booked, but for any reason cannot attend please notify us as soon as possible, as we will be holding a place for your child. Our centre has a two-week notification of cancellation policy. Without two weeks’ notice, payment of the booked place will still be required. All bookings received must be paid for. Generally, we do not offer refunds, credits or transfers for days booked and paid. However, requests of this nature must be made in writing to the Co-ordinator.
