What to do now ?1) Make sure you have a complete Pink Scholarship Profile – this form is the primary information used by the scholarship/awards committee when considering students, extras will be located in student services, please hand into student services.

2) Check School Site: Scholarship/awards information can be found under the Guidance Section of the Laurier homepage. This may include applications and links. Check on a regular basis.

3) Listen to Announcements: The Radio Rams team does a great job, make sure you listen, and check the Radio Rams both, along with the Guidance office for resources, updates, and or deadlines.

4) Check Post-Secondary Sites: Most of your opportunities for financial supports will be found on the Post-Secondary sites. Explore the site, most information will be centralized on the site, but you should be familiar with each of your post-secondary schools site.

5) Be prepared - have documents such as 2 letters of reference, your resume, your portfolio, personal statements ready ahead of time – don’t wait until the night before the deadline to ask your teacher for a reference.

6) Talk to your parents/Your Work/Volunteer Organizations- Corporations, unions, or employee groups may have bursaries and scholarships for their employees and their employees children. This information will be located in the Human Resource Department. Service groups such as Rotary, Kiwanis, Kinsmen and Masons are community groups who can be a source for scholarships.

7) Be fearless – don’t be afraid to contact the school or scholarship administrator if you have questions. They want to help you.

8) Use all your resources – check the different websites, take advantage of the free services, teachers, professors, student services, companies, family members, organizations.
