The grant proposals are first reviewed at the department and college levels, Following those reviews, a group of faculty representing various disciplines across campus give a final review where they compare protocols to each other based on how well they incorporate the desired goals and elements of a mentored environment. The awards range in value according to the proposal and are given in January to be worked on throughout the calendar year. Final reports are received from the faculty the next year.
