Travel management, recreation, fish and wildlife habitat improvement, and other activities in the Bear Creek watershed and adjacent watersheds (proposed action revised in Feb 2014)

Re-issue lease use agreement for the operation and maintenance of communication improvements owned by Colorado Springs Utilities for a term period through December 2020. No new disturbance if association with the lease renewal process.

IREA Buffalo Creek to Foxton Road Powerline Rebuild

Installation, operation, and maintenance of equipment utilized to monitor weather events.

The Pike NF proposes to install a portable radio repeater and base station on Green Mountain. The purpose is to improve radio communications while increasing public and employee safety. Vegetation would be removed at the radio site and for access.

Considers changes to travel management and the range of available recreation activities. Seeks to provide a variety of travel and recreation opportunities compatible with the subalpine and alpine environment of the analysis area.

IREA is proposing to rebuild approximately 1,373 linear feet of existing powerline that provides electric service to residents in the Buffalo Creek to Foxton Road area. On other lands an additional 38,386 feet would be rebuilt as part of the project.

IREA Cheesman Reservoir to Lost Valley Ranch Powerline Rebuild

IREA is proposing to rebuild approximately 4.8 miles of existing powerline that provides electric service in the Cheesman Reservoir to Lost Valley Ranch area. On other lands an additional 1.5 miles would be rebuilt as part of the project.

Issue a communication site lease to the State of Colorado for maintenance and operation of an electronic communications site. The communication site may also be designated for use by local, state, and federal government purposes only.

The proposal is to authorize the operator a plan of operator to explore for and mine amazonite, smoky quartz, and other pegmatite minerals on the Silent Hill claim.
