FUEL BERTHThe Cowes Harbour Services fuel berth is a deep draught fuel pontoon 200 metres south of the Chain Ferry on the west side of the River Medina supplying competitively priced petrol, red diesel, gas, and engine oils. The fuel berth supplies ultra low sulphur diesel free from any biodiesel. If you require (200+ litres) of fuel after hours; request a delivery by calling the fuel berth in advance. Automatic declaration facility available.

The Cowes Harbour Services Boatyard is one of the largest yards on the River Medina with extensive facilities accommodating up to 150 boats from the easily trailered to yachts and motor boats up to 40 tonnes. The Boatyard serves local river and harbour users, and is also popular with mainland boaters.

Cowes Harbour Services has a multi-disciplinary team working largely afloat on marine & coastal projects on the River Medina & around the Solent. We are the first choice for all local marine contracts & our portfolio is as diverse as the clients that we serve in Cowes Harbour & further afield.

Our team specialises in the design, supply & positioning of complete mooring systems, as well as navigation & race mark buoy management. We also take care of pontoon maintenance, local towage, stores logistics, escort duties & transportation, & berth repair.

Our working vessels Seaclear & Seamark are based at our Cowes Harbour Services site in East Cowes where we also have storage & workshop facilities for engineering, welding & painting.

SEACLEARThe main workhorse at Cowes Harbour Services is our 16m Multi-Cat vessel Seaclear:

SEAMARKOur 11 metre steel workboat Seamark is available for hire with two or more crew. Fitted with a deck winch, bollard & no stern gunnels, Seamark is suited to towage work, boom deployment & observation; she also serves as ferry escort for events such as Cowes Week.

Seaclear specialises in the laying, servicing & recovery of moorings & buoyage, & the Multi-Cat is also available for charter to carry out marine contracts, including bed levelling & marine salvage. With a 28 tonne deck cargo capacity Seaclear offers excellent transportation & logistic support capabilities.

Cowes Harbour Services maintains the moorings in the River Medina, from the Folly to the Outer Harbour, including all the pontoons & residents’ swinging moorings.We also supply moorings solutions to yacht clubs in the eastern Solent & local event moorings for Cowes Week, Round the Island Race & visiting fleets for regattas, as well as individual bespoke moorings for local sailors.

We have extensive experience in the servicing & scheduling of maintenance to all local harbour navigation marks & many of the Solent race marks. Cowes Harbour Services can fulfil all your mark laying or retrieving needs, on a one-off or ongoing basis.

Our experienced team, equipped with our Multi-Cat barge Seaclear & small tug/escort vessel Seamark, backed up with other vessels including fast RIBs, is often called upon to deal with the jobs that no one else can, including towage, salvage & special access.The team has comprehensive experience working with dive teams, salvors & other specialist contractors providing solutions whatever the situation, & we are always willing to discuss options with the client to provide the best service to fit the circumstances.

VESSEL HIRECowes Harbour Services has a variety of harbour launches available for hire with a fully qualified coxswain. HM1 & HM2, which are both 10 metre RIBs with 225hp inboard diesel engines, are ideal for towing small vessels, fast escort, patrol, observation, or filming. Two 21ft ‘Duver’, cabin boats, are suitable for local charter, carrying out surveys, patrol work or even harbour tours!
