Disabled VisitorsAlthough most areas of the University are accessible some
buildings are, unfortunately, not user-friendly for those with
restricted mobility. If you or your guests have any specific
requirements, please phone 01482 465293
Meals and refreshmentsAvailable between 9am and 3pm in Kormak’s Dining Hall
and Calvino’s Cafe Bar. A complimentary drinks voucher will
be available on arrival.
Travel and parkingThe University is sign posted by the AA. The post code is
YO11 3AZ.
There is limited parking available on Campus, therefore we
advise visitors to consider using Scarborough’s Park and
Ride schemes on the A64 and A165. A pdf of the services is
available at www.scarboroughparkandride.co.uk
Alternatively you can use the Holbeck Hill car park which is
accessible via Wheatcroft Avenue, directly opposite the
Campus entrance.
For those who are planning on coming by train there is a taxi
rank at the station. Alternatively, visitors can take the
number 7 bus from the stop at the top of the pedestrian
precinct.

Students’ Union (In Calvino’s Cafe Bar)An important part of student life, the Students’ Union runs a
variety of clubs and societies, provides many opportunities
for voluntary work and community involvement and
arranges social and educational events. A representative will
be available to talk about student life and the role of the
Students’ Union.
Study Advice ServiceThe Study Advice Service offers a comprehensive
programme of one-to-one confidential support and advice
leaflets to students throughout their university career. Areas
in which support is offered include academic writing, essay
writing, exam and revision techniques, note-taking,
numeracy, referencing work and many more.
