THE OPTIMALMAINTENANCE PLANScania’s new standard for maintenance plans is based on estimated maintenance requirements using several operational factors and the specification of your vehicles. The result is continuously updated and flexible maintenance plan that minimises downtime to the lowest possible cost.

Factors such as road roughness, fuel quality, start and stop frequency all affect which level of maintenance is needed for your vehicles. By individually optimising the different modules in the maintenance plan, such as air filter and gearbox oil, we ensure that downtime is planned and only occurs when absolutely necessary. For each maintenance event, timing and content is then calculated based on factors such as cost of spare parts and labour. This way we can always present an optimised maintenance interval adapted to your business operation. Such adaptations may include:

• Bodywork and additional equipment that require extra lubrication

• Additional modules, such as preventive repairs• Compliance inspections, such as brake tests

outside of the regular maintenance plan

We will call youIn due time before the next service, we will call to booka visit. Before your arrival a remote diagnosis is made todetect and prepare any additional repairs that might beneeded at the same time. The driver can easily reportany problems with the vehicle using the Scania FleetManagement app.

Tailored for your operation

Scania’s maintenance plans are tailored to maximise

business efficiency and availability – regardless of

your operational needs.

Vehicle know-how

WORKSHOP SERVICESWe tailor maintenance plans that fits your business, ensuring

maximum uptime, increasing productivity as well as decreasing

disruptions in your Daily operation.

SupportingpartnersAt Scania we work together to make sure that wherever you are, whatever happens, you can rely on us. We offer a selection of individually tailored agreements with no lock-in contracts for truck, bus and coach – as well as trailers – so there’s a Scania Support Agreement for every kind of transport operation.

You’ll have quick, easy, and reliable access to all our services and expertise as part of the Scania experience – that means maximum operating time and the best value for your money. Monthly fees are agreed up-front, which allows you to accurately control and forecast expenditure.

NATIONWIDE NETWORKWith company-owned branches in every capital city and over 60 authorised independent parts and service dealers across Australia, you’re never far from help. And we use a single centrally managed network database so any one of our dealers and branches can instantly access your vehicle’s history.

FLEXIBLE AGREEMENTSWe offer a complete aftersales solution, so you have preferential parts and labour rates with a single point of contact, and a single monthly invoice. And your Support Agreement is designed just for you. So you have what you need, exactly when and where you need it.

8 Scania Services & Solutions 9Scania Services & Solutions

A truly tailored maintenance programme, Scania maintenance intervals and service requirements are determined by using real-time operating data from each vehicle. This means that instead of service intervals based on set kilometers, and standard predefined service sheets. Vehicles are called in for service when the operating data indicates that maintenance is needed, then the vehicles receive exactly the maintenance they need which, in most cases, delivers increased uptime by spending less time at the workshop. Scania Flexible Plans will take maintenance to an entirely new level.

The technology through the vehicle connectivity continuously monitors the vehicle’s operating data which makes it possible to determine with a great deal of precision when various maintenance operations need to be carried out. With this agreement, the operator does not have to keep track of when the vehicle needs to be serviced; they are instead contacted by Scania when it is time for a tailored service and informed how long the vehicle will be needed.

At Scania, we understand the importance of keeping your vehicle on the road and minimising the time spent in the workshop. Therefore we always review our preventative maintenance recommendations to achieve the best outcome for you. This includes capitalizing on the product improvements that Scania continually introduces.

Preventative Maintenance Agreements utilise our agreed and fixed monthly payments, so you can predict your maintenance costs from start to finish. You can be safe in knowledge that you are paying our lowest possible parts and labour rates, and that your equipment is being serviced with key components replaced at correct intervals.

With the preventative maintenance coverage, key components and actions will be included at predetermined intervals which will reduce unscheduled maintenance and repairs adding unwanted costs to operators.

PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE GUIDE P-G-R TRUCK

This document is a guide only and any recommendations are general for the listed applications. The estimated life of components is based on data collated from vehicles operating in Australian conditions. The driving style, travel route, vehicle weight and quality of maintenance will affect the estimated service life of each component. The estimated service life of components does not imply any warranty or costs to be accepted by Scania Australia Pty Ltd, if the service life is not achieved.

* The condition of individual items should be assessed as part of a routine service program

PLEASE NOTE: Operation types are given as general applications. A regular analysis of the vehicles stored operational data will give an accurate determination of the vehicles application and service intervals.

** maximum engine oil drain intervals when loaded less than 60% of the time

*** maximum engine oil drain interval when loaded more than 60% of the time

There are high or extremely high levels of the climate factors dust, dirt AND

Total idling and power take-off operation is more than 25% of the total operating time

Operation type 4 - Distribution

Total idling and power take-off operation is more than 25% of the total operating time OR

Traffic is extremely heavy, i.e. more than 250 stops or major decelerations per 100 km

Average speed is typically below 40 km/h

Operation type 5 - Heavy long distance 68-130 tonnes

Heavy operations long distance between 68-130 tonnes
