Rules and RegulationsPatrons are responsible to understand and follow all park rules and regulations. Violations may result in revocation of park privileges and/or legal prosecution.
This Park Preserve is limited to day use only. Camping, barbecuing/cooking and fires are not permitted.
All plants and animals within the Park Preserve are protected. Please do not feed or disturb the wildlife.
This is a carry-in/carry-out New York State Park. Trash receptacles are not provided; you must take out your trash with you. Please help keep your state parks clean.
Dogs are permitted on a maximum six-foot leash.
Alcoholic beverages and glass containers are not permitted.
For your safety and to protect the Park Preserve, please remain on designated carriage roads, foot-paths, and woods roads.
The Ice Cave Trail contains ice flows, water, narrow crevices, low rock ceilings, dark areas, ladders, and boardwalks. Please use extra caution in all areas. Appropriate footwear must be worn due to difficult footing.
Hours and FeesThe Park Preserve opens daily at 9:00 am year-round. Closing hours are posted at the Park Preserve entrance and are adjusted seasonally. Information is available regarding the Empire Pass for frequent park users, senior citizens’ discount, and Access Passes. The vehicle use fee is $10 per car and Empire Passes are $80 per season.

Public ProgramsGuided hikes and nature programs are provided for the public every month. Education programs are available for school groups, clubs, and other interested parties upon request. Please pick up the current Public Programs brochure or contact the Sam’s Point office at 845-647-7989 for additional information.
WARNING — DANGER CARRIAGE ROADS, FOOTPATHS, AND OVERLOOKS THROUGHOUT THIS PARK ARE ADJACENT TO STEEP DESCENTS AND CLIFFS. EXERCISE EXTREME CAUTION IN ALL AREAS. KEEP AWAY FROM CLIFF EDGES. CAUTION: PARK STAFF AND RADIO TOWER OPERATORS USE MOTORIZED VEHICLES.
