New Paragraphs, Part 1, 2.4.5 and 3.4.3 – “All boiler rooms which contain fuel‐fired equipment shall have carbon monoxide detectors installed at or near each exit (see 2.4.1 and 3.4.1 respectively). The set point of the alarm shall be 35 ppm, and the alarm shall actuate immediately upon detection of Carbon Monoxide levels higher than this level. The alarm shall be audible or audible/visual and shall have a sound level of at least 80dB.
.1 the CO Detector and Alarm shall be tested semi‐annually by the local fire authority, or by a contractor qualified to perform such tests by the local fire authority. Records of such tests shall be kept for five years and shall be made available to the Inspector upon request.
.2 at the option of the owner, the carbon monoxide detection system may be combined with the fire detection/protection system at the location to provide alarm activation at locations remote from the boiler room.”

3.8.1.5 AUTOMATIC LOW-WATER FUEL CUTOFF AND/OR WATER FEEDING DEVICE a) Each automatically fired steam-or vapor-system boiler shall have an automatic low-water fuel cutoff. The low-water fuel cutoofs must be so located as to automatically cut off the fuel supply when the surface of the water falls to a level not lower than the lowest visible part of the water-gage glass. If a water feeding device is installed, it shall be so constructed that the water inlet valve cannot feed water into the boiler through the float chamber and so located as to supply requisite feedwater.
