! The BA Week Pub team, composed of Ms. Fen de Leon, Ms. She dela Paz and Mr. Gio Nucum, announced that the photoshoot was moved from November 23, Saturday to November 25, Monday. They shared the publicity material pegs for each event and reminded all teams to give them a list of possible models for the publicity materials and to prepare the props needed. !! Ms. Germaine Gaerlan reminded the delayed projects: first semester financial statement release, education and research business blitz weekly release on Sunday and the bulletin board, to get back on track and reschedule as soon as possible. !The Finance Councilor, Ms. Bianca Sing, announced that there will be a cut in budget for those teams who have yet to pass their project proposal forms. !The Publicity and Promotions Councilors, Ms. She dela Paz and Mr. Gio Nucum, shared their plans for the bulletin board. They allocated specific spaces for those councilors who requested a corner and for other important things to be featured in the bulletin board. !! The Student Relations Councilor, Mr. Jet Padernal, congratulated and thanked the council for a successfully implemented pledge drive last week. This week’s pledge drive will be for the benefit of VSB students who were affected by Yolanda. !He then brought up the issue of the Tacloban cross-registrants and a discussion ensued on how to better welcome them into the college and Manila. !Apart from this, Mr. Wes Cortez suggested to get the list of cross-registrants from the College Secretary, Sir Manny Manuel III. He then

assigned the Education and Research, Externals and Student Relations to form a team so that all concerns and queries will be addressed to them. !Mr. Jet Padernal then brought up other Student Relations concerns like the KarolFest of VSB Chorale. They are asking for help to look for someone to arrange songs and conduct for them. For DilGames, he is currently coordinating with the men’s basketball captain and there is no more women’s basketball this year. !! The VSB Representative to the USC, Ms. Fen de Leon, shared that there is a provision on the student code banning organizations to recruit freshmen during their first semester because of the harmful effects of it on them. Penalties for violating this range from suspension to expulsion. The Students’ Rights and Welfare arm of the University Student Council is trying to solicit signatures by November 28, Thursday because the Board of Regents will have a meeting then. The student code has been passed to Chancellor Saloma already and will take effect once he signs it. The action point now is to raise awareness about this by asking for individualized statements per organization against this provision. !A discussion ensued and it was suggested to make a campaign that asked statements from freshmen and upper classmen asking “what if they weren’t allowed to join orgs on their first sem of college?”. Ms. Fen de Leon also mentioned that the council has a partnership with the Guilder Institute to make an infographic regarding this. !! A project head of the Recruitment Fair, Ms. Clare Co, brought up the concern regarding the by-line of SBSC in the Business League shirt because there were complaints regarding characterizing SBSC through the word “representation”. A poll will be set up in the council Facebook group to settle this matter.
