    Mechanical Connector Advantages:

    Connector has 10X more fatigue life than field welds.

    Pipe joints are fabricated onshore with coatings, insulation andNDT. Higher strength or corrosion resistant steels can be used.

    Connector make-up is faster and less complicated than welding.
