The Word became a man and lived among us. We saw his glory—the

grace and truth.

John 8:44

Your father is the devil. You belong to him and want to do what he

wants. He was a murderer from the beginning. He was against the truth,

for there is no truth in him. He is a liar, and he is like the lies he tells.

He is the father of lies.



John 14:6

Jesus answered, “I am the way. And I am the truth and the life. The

only way to the Father is through me.”



John 17:17

Make them ready for your service through your truth. Your teaching is

truth.



John 18:37

Pilate said, “So you are a king!” Jesus answered, “You say that I am a

king. That is true. I was born for this: to tell people about the truth.

1 John 1:2

He who gives life was shown to us. We saw him, and we can give proof

about it. And now we tell you that he has life that continues forever.

The one who gives this life was with God the Father. God showed him to

us.



1 John 1:7

God is in the light. We should live in the light, too. If we live in the

light, we share fellowship with each other. And when we live in the light,

the blood of the death of Jesus, God’s Son, is making us clean from

every sin.



1 John 1:10

If we say that we have not sinned, then we make God a liar. We do not

accept God’s true teaching.



1 John 2:4

If someone says, “I know God!” but does not obey God’s commands, then

he is a liar. The truth is not in him.



Proverbs 12:17

An honest witness tells the truth. But a dishonest witness tells lies.



Proverbs 12:19

Truth will last forever. But lies last only a moment.



Proverbs 14:25

A truthful witness saves lives. But a false witness is a traitor.



Psalm 43:3

Send me your light and truth. They will guide me. Lead me to your holy

mountain. Lead me to where you live.



Proverbs 30:7-8

“I ask two things from you, Lord. Don’t refuse me before I die. Keep me

from lying and being dishonest. And don’t make me either rich or

Lord, teach me what you want me to do. And I will live by your truth.

2 Timothy 4:4-5

[People] will stop listening to the truth. They will begin to follow the

teaching in false stories. But you should control yourself at all times.

When troubles come, accept them. Do the work of telling the Good

News. Do all the duties of a servant of God.



Romans 1:20

There are things about God that people cannot see—his eternal power

and all the things that make him God. But since the beginning of the

world those things have been easy to understand… So people have no

excuse for the bad things they do.



Romans 1:21

[People] knew God. But they did not give glory to God, and they did not

thank him. Their thinking became useless. Their foolish minds were

filled with darkness.



Romans 1:25

[People] traded the truth of God for a lie and worshiped and served

things that were made by man. But they did not worship and serve the

God who made those things. God should be praised forever. Amen.



Proverbs 6:16-19

There are six things the Lord hates. There are seven things he cannot

stand: a proud look, a lying tongue, hands that kill innocent people, a

mind that thinks up evil plans, feet that are quick to do evil, a witness

who tells lies and a man who causes trouble among brothers.



1 Corinthians 13:6

Love takes no pleasure in evil, but rejoices over the truth.



Ephesians 4:15

No! We will speak the truth with love. We will grow up in every way to

be like Christ, who is the head.



Ephesians 4:25

So you must stop telling lies. Tell each other the truth because we all

belong to each other in the same body.



Philippians 4:8

Brothers, continue to think about the things that are good and worthy

of praise. Think about the things that are true and honorable and right

and pure and beautiful and respected.
