Objectives of the Talk:

To provide information about advance technology in Java used in MNC.

Overview about new techniques for web application development.

To provide details of Web services used in real time applications.

To provide guidance for selection of new technology for making project.

Speaker's Short Profile: Ms. Priyanka Pingle

Ms. Priyanka Pingle Currently working as senior software developer at IBM,

Pune. She has 9 years in IT professional with of competitive experience: 3 years in

Transportation-Logistics & Telecommunication domain (IBM), 3.5 years in Insurance

domain (Wipro Technologies Pvt. Limited) and more than 2 years in Financial Service

Domain (Tata Consultancy Services Pvt. Limited). She has Played a Pivotal role at

both Onshore(UK) and Offshore to manage critical aspects of Projects such as

Interface to Client and Business people, Liaison to technical and implementation team

to address queries and problems faced. Well conversant with OOPS, IBM WPF, IBM

WP, Spring, Struts, EJB, JPA, HTML5. She is excellent analytical, problem solving,

interpersonal, communication and decision making skills. Good working knowledge in

SVN/CVS/TFS for version control and QC/JIRA/TFS for defect logging.

Summary:

Computer Engineering Department of Sarvajanik College of Engineering &

Technology organized an R&D Lecture Series Expert talk on “Advance technology in

Java” on 5th March 2018.

Prof. Vandana Joshi commenced the session at 10:50 AM by welcoming and

introducing Ms. Priyanka Pingle. Ms. Priyanka Pingle commenced her session by

giving overview of Web Application Vs Desktop applications. She has given many real

time examples where and how web applications are used. During the talk Ms. Priyanka

Pingle also highlighted the requirements for software development with best practice

for development. Then she explained MVC model in detail and how MVC model is

used in Web Application. Ms. Priyanka Pingle discussed currently used technology in

many MNC like Hibernate, JPA and springBoot. Finally she demonstrate various

examples of web services and also answered various students' questions and

encouraged us to pursue our goals and find the right opportunities.

Finally, the session was concluded by vote of thanks by Prof. Vandana Joshi. We

acknowledge and thank Sarvajanik Education Society and Sarvajanik College of

Engineering & Technology for providing the necessary infrastructure for conducting the

expert talk. We also thank Dr. Vaishali Mungurwadi, Principal, SCET for her guidance

and motivation in organizing the expert talk.
