Step 10 K selections Entrepreneurship program Intra class idea selection

First round of selection for entrepreneurship program was conducted. The students from each section of class IX and XI presented their business ideas in front of the class. Selection of the best idea from the class was done by the class teacher on voting basis.

English Week A variety of literary activities were conducted. UN goals for Sustainable development were the theme given to class VI or writing acrostic poems. Class VII narrated Fairy Tales. Shakespearean characters were brought ‘Face to Face’ in a modern setting by the students of class VIII. Class IX penned down stories based on the UN goals related to Reduced inequality, Decent work and Economic growth and Peace. JAM sessions were organized for class X on Health related issues like balanced diet, sleep disorders, laughter yoga, and obesity and so on.

Students were shown presentation for the previous records made by Indian students. They were convinced and many of them will be sitting for school level exam on 17th May, 18 online exam.

Inauguration of the Bio Diversity Park

The Bio Diversity Project was inaugurated with Vice Principal Ms. GayatriKapoor planted the first sapling, along with the student of the Environment Club. This is an initiative to introduce to the students, the concept of Butterfly and Herbal gardens.

An intense interactive session with the parents. Questions and queries raised by the parents were taken up and answered. Mr. Alok Bansal, professional career-guide addressed issues related to careers which are rewarding but do not demand mathematics as a subject in classes XI and XII.

Conducted an interesting workshop for the teachers of classes VI-VIII. She shared her years of experience with the young minds. Her words of wisdom had a deep impact and her suggestions will be carried into the classrooms by the teachers

‘Earth Day’ Celebrations

‘Earth Day’ was celebrated to reinforce the need for environmental protection. As the theme of this year is 'End Plastic Pollution', students were engaged in a plethora of activities like designing book marks, writing jingles and slogans and making posters. Students also discussed pollution, rainforest depletion and its effect on ecology.

‘World Book Day’ was celebrated to promote the enjoyment of reading. Students marked the day by reading their favorite books or by just reading newspapers.

Road Safety Week- Sadak Suraksha Jeevan Raksha

Classes VI to VIII - (a) Questionnaires were prepared and answers were discussed by the student themselves under the supervision of social science teachers.Written assignments were done in Civics notebooks. Classes IX to X- (a) Events related to road safety were written by each student in their Civics notebooks. (b) A short speech was given by a student in the High School Morning Assembly emphasizing on the need to be aware and to follow road safety rules; and on the prevention of road accidents.

Riya of class 8F presented an article on road safety under road safety week. She highlighted the statistics given by WHO on the world wide accidents and talked about rules to be followed.

BVN It was an exchange programme organised by Japan Science and Technology agency in collaboration with Japan Government with the aim to promote international collaboration in Science. Students learned about the cutting edge technology and many useful innovative ideas like I.P.S technology and properties of titanium dioxide. They also attended a high School in Japan learned about the culture and the hobbies followed by the students in Japan It were a great opportunity and collaboration for development

Three eminent personalities in today’s India: Mrs. Anjana Om Kashyap, a journalist and news presenter: Mr.Surjo Dutt from the marketing sector and Mr. VimlenduJha, a social activist formed the panel. It provided food for thought for the future citizens of India by exposing them to diverse views about different aspects of social media in their lives.

Indian National Trust For Art And Cultural Heritage (INTACH)

The workshop offered ideas, suggestions and exercises for teachers to engage with their students on the mentioned theme. Presenting the city’s history and its varied heritage in an interesting and classroom-friendly manner, the teachers were encouraged to involve students to recognize, appreciate and adopt their city’s heritage.

CBSE Teachers attended Capacity Building in English Language and Literature - The resource persons facilitated the teachers with learning material.
