IntroMy family lives all around the country. My mom’s
brothers live in New Jersey and North Carolina, while almost all of my dad’s family lives in California. Although the distance is far, we tend to spend time with each other in the summer. When my whole family spends time together, we like to go to amusement parks, watch sports, and go to the beach.
When my dad isn’t busy at work, he likes to watch football with his family and friends. My mom likes to play tennis and run the house. My twin sister Emily and I play field hockey and soccer, and run track together.

ConclusionThe purpose of this project was to create a
pedigree of two different traits that have been passed through three generations of my family. It was fun to interview my family on all of the different and strange traits. I was surprised to see that both my mom and her parents all have the long second toe, while none of my dads side has it. I was also surprised that my twin sister and I differ in a trait, dimples. This project was interesting because it connects what we’re learning to real life and how the traits are passed down through the generations.
