Developed my own label of accessories for Brissi, including bags, eye masks, and handmade paper antique lace albums, cards and notebooks.

Assisted with buying Textiles, Fashion Accessories and Homeware..Mostly bought in Paris, London and Milan, stockist of names such as;Miller Harris perfumes, Tabitha leatherwear and Britt Childrenswear.

With mentions in Vogue, Elle decoration, Living etc and the Evening Standard.Three London stores in Westbourne Grove Notting Hill, Kings Road and Marylebone High St.

Designer Fashion company, specialising in Textile Design.

Exhibiting at London Fashion Week as well as Tranoi in Paris. We sold our collection, including swimwear, shoes and knitwear, to shops throughout the UK, Europe, USA and Japan. Selling to stores such as Harrods, Fenwicks and Liberty, boutiques such as Matches and The Cross in London. We worked on design projects with Scotch House, Wedgewood, Wallis and The Male cancer awareness charity.Private Clients such as Cher rie Blair, Barbara Windsor and Minnie Driver.

I oversaw the development of each collection, including samples of painting, print and textile design with embellishment, Sampling and Pattern Cutting.

I managed the fabric and trim orders, liaising with international suppliers and developing close working relationships with key UK factories and a team of outworkers, enabling us to have a smooth production run for each season.

PREVIOUS EMPLOYMENT:

- Choice London Ltd 1997 - March 2000 Costume Designer

Commenced with Choice as Costume Designer, using my skills of private clients and eveningwear from Amanda Wakeley.

Specialising in designing and producing costumes for dance and the stage.

Specialising in design and decoration of costumes, with extensive use of beading, applique and Swarovski crystal stones.

Designing for Award winning International dancers, Formation teams, skaters and synchronised swimmers.

Working to a design brief with individual clients, researching possibilities, sketching out ideas, working through them to find the best solution/colour scheme/details.

Following all orders through to appointments and fittings, liasing with pattern cutters, cutters, a team of 35+ sample machinists and decoraters. Ensuring all orders were ready and complete by clients deadlines.

Attended all major dance shows and exhibitions, designing for clients on site.

Theatrical dance costumes for Lord of the Dance, including elaborately decorated gowns for on stage singers.

Working on costumes for Pantomime, including costumes for Lily Savage in Cinderella.

Extensive work with the Japanese clients Shirakaba, designing and monitoring weekly deliveries as well as visiting them and designing on site in Tokyo.

Worked along side Anton du Beke, sponsoring him and Erin Boag whilst building their career ahead of their success with Strictly Come Dancing.

Choice was amalgamated into Dance Sport International, who continue to make costumes for Strictly Come Dancing.

1995-1997

Managing the collection, all appointments, sales, fittings and production for Amanda Wakeley’s ‘Black Label’ Made to Measure service.

Embracing and promoting Amanda’s ethos of a season’s collection through to a complete involvement of all elements of a personal service, guiding and advising celebrities and a faithful clientel on design, colour and cloth from tailored seperates, to evening wear and bridalwear.

Extensive experience with high profile clients, ensuring a comfortable, privat e and attentive time for ordering and fitting, completing successful orders to deadlline.

The organising and planning of the in house customer catwalk show, from the show sponsorship, production, music and lighting, hair and make-up, model casting, running order, dressers, refreshments, back stage support, guest lists and invitations.

Assisting with the catwalk and exhibition shows at London Fashion Week.

It was been my personal contribution to develop the design and introduce the range of Bridal samples and accessories, winning the 1997 Award from Brides Magazine, which I was honored to accept on Amanda’s behalf.
