Solution Manager 7.0 Ehp1 Initial/Basis Configuration
Initial/Basic Configuration of Solution Manager Ehp1 1) Once the Ehp1 installation is complete, update the Java and ABAP stack to SP03 as
explained in SAP Notes: 1250122, 1270420, 1256049 and 1243425
To use transaction SOLMAN_SETUP after the update to Solution Manager
Ehp 1 these steps are recommended before using this transaction: Update your LM-SERVICE.sca and your LM-TOOLS.sca in the JAVA stack of your SAP Solution Manager system to the latest available patch level
Implement notes 1236420 and 1269582 in the Solution Manager system. (which says to update to SP03 stack which is already done)
Implement note 1236420 also in those managed systems which you want to include to your SOLMAN_SETUP configuration activity.
Temporarily adjust the time out values for the HTTP service in the Solution Manager system. Start transaction SMICM, navigate in the menu to GOTO -> SERVICES. Set the checkmark for HTTP, and navigate in the menu to SERVICE -> CHANGE. Then set the time out values for "Keep Alive" and "Max. Processing Time" to about 6000.
The guided procedure of transaction SOLMAN_SETUP implements note 1172948 automatically. This only works correctly if the user executing this step has sufficient authorizations to implement notes: please see note 1278456 for details.
2) Login to SAP GUI and enter transaction SOLMAN_SETUP which opens a browser shown below:
