FIORI – Great out of the box but not for GEO tracking

The original plan to build the GEO tracking capability in FIORI was revised. Deployment of the standard FIROI applications were very simple. The team did not spend much time on this task at all. Recommendation: Infrastructure setup is more difficult than the deployment of the FIORI applications. Plan accordingly.

FIORI has its own security setup

FIORI security roles are separate from the ERP security roles. We ended up building a tool to automate the security setup from the ERP system to the FIORI boxes.

Try not to reinvent the wheel

Loosely coupling a well developed system such as Tsheets was one of the best decisions of this project. The 3rd party tool was a good fit, very well developed and user friendly. It allowed the deployment of functionality that was not even planned at the beginning of the project.
