ORGANIZATION PROFILE
Vision: To have healthy and self-reliant society where equal opportunity & safety are
made available with special reference to Disaster, Education, Health, Rights &
Entitlements.
Mission: To create a self-reliant society of disadvantaged & marginalized groups who
can avail equal opportunities in which woman play proactive role.
Goal Sustainable development of the society through Women Empowerment and
Disaster Risk Reduction.
Activities of the organization:-
1. With the support of Centre for Catalyzing Change (C3) we are
implementing the project “Mentoring EWRs as champions for health &
nutrition in their community” at Nathnagar, Jagdishpur & Sabour block
of Bhagalpur district in Bihar from 15th May’2018.
2. In association with Bihar State Disaster Management Authority,
conducting social mobilization on Mask awareness for Covid19 among
the urban areas of Patna district from 16.06.2020
3. We are Training partner of FoSTaC under FSSAI on Food Safety
Supervisor for Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha & UP.
4. We are partner organization of District Level Road Safety Awareness
Program for Bihar State Disaster Management Authority in Bihar.
5. We organized Road Safety Advocacy Workshop in Patna with the
support of Ministry of Road Transport & Highways and Bihar State
Disaster Management Authority from 4th Februay’19 to 31st March’19.
6. With the support of Ministry of Social Justice, AIIMS-New Delhi and
SPYM, conducted a survey among the homeless drug user in urban areas
of Patna district from 3rd March’2019 to May’2019.
7. With the support of UNICEF, organized Social Mobilization Campaign
on Measles & Rubella in urban Patna from January-2019 to February-
2019.
8. Conducted Awareness Campaign on Clean Market with the support of
Ministry of Consumer Affairs Food & Public Distribution at Kankarbagh
& Patnacity market in Patna from April’2018 to March’2019.
9. Conducted skill development training on Life Insurance Advisor and
Front Office Associate in Patna.

10. With support of BVHA we distributed All-Out mosquito coil, refill and
Flash card among the students in the school
11. We are conducting Apprentice training program on Beautician, Tailoring
& Computer in association with DGET-NCVT in Bihar.
12. We conducted many Road Safety Awareness Campaign on the occasion
of Road Safety Week at different schools/colleges of Patna in association
with National Cadet Corps & Indian Road Safety Campaign, BSDMA.
13. We are partner of Department of Agriculture, GoB for the awareness of
Bio-Gas plant in all districts and to facilitate in making of plant among
the targeted beneficiaries.
14. With the support of Go-for-Change, we distributed 100 blankets among
the needy communities in slum areas of Kankarbagh.
15. With the support of Centre for Catalyzing Change (C3) we conducted
survey & workshop on health facilities under “Hamara Swasthya,
Hamari Aawaz” campaign for quality & respectful delivery of pregnant
women at govt. health institutions in Sheohar & Bhagalpur district of
Bihar.
16. We organized World Yoga Day program with the support of Central
Council of Research, Yoga & Naturopathy under Ministry of Ayush in
Muzafarpur district of Bihar.
17. We are actively participating in Mission Indradhanush(MI) program on
Immunization in Bihar along with the support of BVHA, Alliance for
Immunization in India & GAVI.
18. With the support of BVHA & KKS we conducted Skill Development
Training Program on Beautician, Electrician, Masonry, Cycle-Motor
repairing at 12 villages of Maner block in Patna districts of Bihar.
19. Organized one day workshop on Bihar Baal Ghoshnapatra-
Children Manifesto on the occasion of Bihar Legislative Assembly-
2015 with issues of Child, Health & Nutrition with the support of
World Vision-Bihar in Kishanganj district 20. With the support of Dan Church Aid & IDF we procured the 7500 kg.
SEED of rice to distribute among the dalit communities of Katra &
Sonepur panchayat of Katra Block in Muzaffarpur district.
21. We are conducting Skill Development Training program on ICT,
Yoga, Mass-communication, Soft Skill, Tailoring, Beauty Advisor
under MES scheme of DGET in Patna district with the support of
Ministry of Labour & employment Department, GOI.
22. We had translated the training material from English to Hindi on
Emotional Resilience & Health under the Girls First project for the
U.S. based organization CORSTONE.

23. We are conducting Micro Insurance program with the support of LIC
in Bihar.
24. We conducted On Site Education Programme under Brick Klin
Project in Barbigha block of Shekhpura district with the support of
Bihar Education Project.
25. We conducted On Site Education Programme under Brick Klin
Project in Meskaur & Kashichak block of Nawada district with the
support of Bihar Education Project.
26. We formed Women SHG at the Naubatpur block of Patna district with
the support of NABARD. At present we have formed 50 groups & all
the groups have been linked to Bank.
27. We conducted training on Tailoring under Skill Development
Programme of Nabard in Naubatpur block of Patna District of Bihar.
28. We conducted a Working Women Hostel in Patna district of Bihar
with the support of Central & Bihar Social Welfare Board.
29. We are publishing monthly VEERANGANA Kadam Sahas Ke… a
social magazine based on Women Empowerment.
30. We conducted three unit Awareness Generation Programme in
Jehanabad district of Bihar with the support of Central Social Welfare
Board
31. On behalf of PHEd Bihar, we conducted Quality testing & mapping of
water with the support of Envirotech East Pvt Ltd. in Kishanganj,
Sitamarhi, Sheohar & Madhubani district of Bihar.
32. We conducted Four days survey & training programme on Education
named as ASER with the support of PRATHAM Mumbai in
Kishanganj district of Bihar. In this survey we were covered 31
government school to know the status of education and facility &
appearance of student in the school.
33. We conducted Three Non Formal Education (NFE) centers with the
support of member’s contribution in the Naubatpur block of Patna
district where the children of SHG members get elementary education.
34. We formed girls Club in the colleges of Bihar. The name of the
formed club was SAMBHAWANA.
35. We formed Self Help Group in Kako, Ratnifaridpur, Sadar block and
providing skill development training on Tailoring in Modanganj,
Ratanifaridpur & Hulasganj block of Jehanabad district with the
support of DRDA, Jehanabad.

36. We organized a one day workshop on Right to Education with the
support of Voluntary Forum for Education under United Nations
Millennium Campaign in Jehanabad district of Bihar..
37. We participated in Women empowerment programme of Dainik
Jagran SAPNO KO CHALI CHHONE….. which was organized by
Jagrn Pahal, Women Development Corporation & UNFPA in 21 Girls
colleges of Six district of Bihar.

2018-19
1. CHAMPION PROJECT (Centre for Catalysing Change):
With the support of Centre for Catalysing Change, we
organized CHAMPION PROJECT in Bhagalpur district of
Bihar since 16th April’18. In this project we capacitated the
210 Elected Women Representatives of Nathnagar,
Jagdishpur and Sabour block of Bhagalpur district in Bihar.
We advocated on women and
child health & nutrition issues
by organizing district level
capacity building training, exposure visit of health and
nutrition centres, Cluster level meeting named as Champion
sabha, pictorial checklist filling, monitoring the available
services at AWCs/health centres, Submission of Charter of
Demand to MP, MLAs, District level concerned officers etc.
2. Clean Market Scheme (Ministry of of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution):
With the support of Department of Consumer Affairs, GoI, we organized Advocacy
program on Clean Market scheme at Kankarbagh are of
Patna district in Bihar since 02nd April’18 to 31st
March’19. In this program,
we formed Bazar
Swachchhata Samiti,
painting at schools,
plantation at colleges,
advocacy on plythene ban, survey on how to clean our
market, training of Swachchhata etc. among the communities of Kankarbahg area. We
organized meeting with Municipal Corporation of Kankarbagh, Patna and Secretary of
Bihar Pollution Control Board to maintain the cleanness of market at Kankarbagh.
3. National Survey on Drug Users (AIIMS & SPYM):
With the support of AIIMS New Delhi and SPYM, we conducted a National Survey
program among the Drug users in Patna
district of Bihar since 01st February’2019 to
31st March’19. We completed the survey of
434 drug users of Patna district by using the
online survey portal. During survey we

distributed an incentive among the respondent. The survey was focussed on socio-
economic and behaviour change of drug users.
4. Social Mobilization Campaign on Measules-Rebella program (Unicef & BVHA):
With the support of Unicef and BVHA, we organized Social Mobilization campaign on
Measules-Rubella at Rajendra Nagar Primary Health Centre
are of Patna district since 01st February’19 to 31st March’19.
In this campaign, we finalize the date of vaccination at
schools by organizing the
awareness meeting with
teachers, parents and students. In this campaign the
kids from age 9 month to 15 years were targeted and
vaccinated under special MR campaign. We visited
more than 60 schools and organized 30 community
meeting, meeting influential persons, meeting
teachers, parents, students and community leaders. We met to concered govt. officers
like District Immunization Officers (DIO), District Education Officers (DEO) etc. to make
the program successful.
5. Skill Development Training:
We organized skill development training program on Tailoring, Beautician, Mehandi &
Basic Computer. Total
425 girl students were
trained and 133
students were engaged
to earn the money by
self-employment or
doing job at the firm.
184 girl students got the training on beautician, 158
on tailoring, 24 on mehandi and 59 students got training on basic computer. While 63
students from beautician, 52 from tailoring, 14 from mehandi and 4 from computer got
the job.
6. International Day of Yoga:
On the occasion of International Day of Yoga, we organized Yoga camp on 21st June’18
at the campus of Professional Training Institute, Patna. In this camp more than 100
students of this institute were actively participate and got the tips of yoga. As a yoga
mentor Mr. Sanjevan Sharma advised them to the participants to do yoga regularly and
keep your body healthy.
7. Road Safety Advocacy program (MORTH):
With the support of Ministry of Road Transport and
Highways, GoI, we organized 14 Road Safety Awareness

program and one Road Show on Road Safety in Patna district of Bihar from 22nd
February to 31st March’2019. We organized the program at following institutions.

8. Road Safety Awareness program:
One day Road Safety advocacy program organized at
Bihta military camp, Patna among the NCC cadets of
Munger district on 26.12.2018. In this
program Dr. Jeevan Kumar, program
officer of Bihar State Disaster
Management Authority was the chief
guest and gave his valuable words on road safety among more than
200 NCC cadets. NCC Group commander Mr. R.B. Gurung coordinate
the program.
9. Celebration of Road Safety Week:
We organized 29th & 30th Road Safety Week from 23rd 30th April’2018 and 04th February
to 10th February 2019 respectively in Patna district of
Bihar in
association with
Bihar State
Disaster
Management
Authority & AIIMS-Patna. We organized the
advocacy & First responder training program at NIFT, CNLU, Mt. Carmel Hich School,
Chandragupta Institute of Management-Patna, Development Management Institute,

Indian Institute of Technology-Patna & Aryabhatta Knowledge University-Bihar. In this
program about 400 participants (teaching, non-teaching and students) were actively and
know the traffic rules & First-aid.
10. Cultural program:
We organized cultural program at Professional Training Institute on
02.03.3019. In this program 35 students from skill development
training program were actively participated in dance, music & fun. Miss
and Mrs. Beauty competion was organized and Miss Nivedita and Mrs.
Lovely was honoured by Miss and Mrs. Beauty respectively.
11. Plantation program (SBI):
With the support State Bank of India, we organized the
plantation program at Ganga Devi
Womens College, Patna on the
occasion of World Environment
Day-2018. On this occasion 60 plant
of fruits were donated by SBI and in
this program about 25 students and professors contribute their duties to save the trees
and environment. The proctor of the college Miss Manibala addressed among the
students about the importance of trees in our life and how can be save our climate. Miss
Sarika Rani coordinated the program.
12. Women Empowerment Program:
We organized women empowerment program at Chauhar panchayat of Arwal district in
Bihar. In this program, we addressed about domestic
violence, women atrocity at work place, girl foeticide
etc. in the presence of Mukhia of this panchayat.
During discussion we found 10 cases of women
atrocity and three cases has been resolved by
meeting with their husband and mother & father-in-
laws
13. Social Mobilization on Lymphatic Filaria:
We organized awareness program on Lymphatic Filaria in association with Project
Concern International at Abhayas Middle School, Nawada on
07.012.2019. In this awareness program students of class 8th
& 9th were participated and know
about the cause of Filaria. The
technical session was taken by
secretary of Sankalp Jyoti Mr.
Santosh Kumar and he added that LF occurs due to a

mosquito named as Bucheria Brancofita. It attacks on us by 09pm to 02pm, while are
sleeping. It flies up to 3ft height from the earth.
2017-18 1. Road Safety Advocacy program (Indian Road Safety Campaign):
With the support of Indian Road Safety Campaign & iSAFE (A Group of Delhi-IIT), we
organized Road Safety Advocacy Workshop at 10 academic
institutions of Patna district. In this workshop Traffic Police of
Patna district was actively participated and shared his valuable
words with the students on Road Safety. More than 1000
students were actively participated from Magadh Mahila College,
J.D. Womens College, Bankipur Girls High School, Raghunath Balika School, Oriental
College, Kendriya Vidyalaya-Kankarbagh,
Arya Kanya High School, Sri Arvind Mahila
College etc. The students were also
identified the risk of accidents and traffic
congestions around the radius of 3
kilometre of schools/colleges through brainstorming. Vice-Chairman of Bihar State

2. Skill Development Training:
We organized skill development training program on Tailoring, Beautician, Mehandi &
Basic Computer. Total 325 girl students were trained and 93 students
were engaged to earn the money by self-employment or doing job at
the firm. 104 girl students got the training on
beautician, 118 on tailoring, 34 on mehandi
and 69 students got training on basic
computer. While 41 students from beautician, 33 from tailoring,
15 from mehandi and 4 from computer got the job.
3. Hamara Swasthya, Hamari Aawaz Campaign (Centre for Catalyzing Change):
With the support of Centre for Catalyzing Change, we organized Block Level Event on
health services available at govt. health centre
under Hamara Swasthya, Hamari Aawaz
Campaign in Sheohar block of Sheohar district in
Bihar. The event was organized at Ramkhelawan
Jungi Uchchatar Middle School, Kushar, Sheohar
on 02.07.2017 and inaugurated by MLA Md. Sharfuddin. In this
event more than 300 rural women, adolescent girls were actively participated and
raised their voices to improve the health services available at health centres.

4. Women Empowerment:
We organized women empowerment program at Amarpur panchayat of Naubatpur
block of Patna district in Bihar on 08.02.2018. In this program, we
addressed about domestic violence, women atrocity at work
place, girl foeticide etc. in the presence of Mukhia of this
panchayat. During discussion we found 06 cases of women
atrocity and two cases had been resolved by meeting with their
husband and mother & father-in-laws.
5. Consumer Awareness program:
We organized consumer awareness program on 08.07.2017 at Professional Training
Institute of Patna district. In this program approx 20 adolescent girls were actively
participated and got the knowledge on consumers rights & Acts. On this occasion Dr.
Shrawan Kumar Singh shared his valuable words among the participants and organized
collective oath program not use ordinary product. If, they found it they will inform the
nearest police station.
6. Plantation program:
With the support of Professional Training Institute, we organized the plantation
program at the campus of Ganga Devi Mahila College, Patna on the
occasion of World Environment Day-2017. On this occasion 25 plant of
fruits were donated by PTI and in this program
about 25 students and staffs of the college
contributed their duties to save the trees and environment. The
director of the institute Smt. Savitri Devi addressed among the
students about the importance of trees in our life and how can be save our climate. Miss
Sarika Rani coordinated the program.
7. Blanket Distribution program (Go for Change):
With the support of Go for Change, we organized Blanket distribution program under
“Pledge A Blanket Campaign” among the 100 poorest/homeless
communities of the society at Patliputra Sports
Complex, kankarbagh, Patna on 28.12.2017. By the
distribution of blanket, we tried to make warmth their
winter and save their life from cold wave. Miss. Nancy,
Miss. Shikha and Miss. Sarika were conducted the
program by doing the survey and making the list of the beneficiaries.

8. Cultural program:
We organized cultural program at Professional Training Institute on 08.03.2018. In this
program 65 students from skill development training program were
actively participated in dance, music & fun. Miss and Mrs. Beauty
competion was organized and Miss Sukanya and Mrs. Binita was
honoured by Miss and Mrs. Beauty respectively.
9. Survey on Health:
We organized a survey program on Vitamin-A & pregnant/lactating
women at the slum area of Kankarbagh. In this program we identified 246
kids of age group 09 month to 60 month and 69 pregnant/lactating
women. We found that due to deficiency of Vit.-A and IFA tablet among
the kids and women respectively they had severe problem with vision and
haemoglobin.
10. Vitamin-A, Albendazole & Multivitamin Capsule distribution program (Vitamin
Angles):
With the support of Vitamin Angles we distributed the Vitamin-A, Albendazole and
Multivitamin Capsules among the deprived communities at slum area of Kankarbagh in
Patna district from Novermebr’2017 to January’2018. In this program we distributed
Albendazole and Multivitamin capsules among the 600 children and 69
pregnant/lactating women respectively. We also given Vitamin-A capsules among the
246 identified kids.
11. Celebration of International Day of YOGA (Central Council for Research in Yoga &
Naturopathy):
With the support of CCRYN, we organized International Day of YOGA
from 20th May to 21st June’2017 in Muzaffarpur district of Bihar. We
organized several Yoga classes at schools,
colleges and villages of this district. In this
program more than 1000 people were
benefitted. On 21st June’2017 we organized one day workshop
on International Day of Yoga at Bhup Narayan Singh Niranjan
Inter College, in which more than 200 students and others were
actively participated. Mr. Anil Kumar was the Yoga Teacher and shared his yoga tips and
exercises.
12. Road Safety Campaign (Road Safety Satyagrah-BSDMA):
We participated in Road Safety Satyagrah program on Road Safety awareness initiated
by Bihar State Disaster Management Authority.

about road safety measures. We also organized signature campaign on road safety by
vehicle drivers and pedestrian. We also distributed road safety IEC materials among
them with the support of BSDMA. In this awareness campaign covered approx. 2000
commuters and sensitized them on road safety.
2016-17
1. SKILL DEVELOPMENT TRAINING PROGRAM:
Sankalp Jyoti is organizing skill development training program on
beautician, tailoring, soft toys making & mehandi, computer with
the support of organization fund at Ashok Nagar-1, Kankarbagh of
Patna district. Total 425 youths of 16-35 years age groups from all
categories participated. All the trained candidates got the certificate
by the hand of Branch, manager, microfinance of Canar bank and linked with bank for
credit linkages. 80% of the trainees got the jobs in SUterms of self-employment &
placement at reputed institutions.
2. SURVEY ON ROAD SAFETY:
Sankalp Jyoti & Safety Alliance (A group of CSOs &
individuals) jointly conducted a
survey on “Causes of Road
Accident in Patna” at ten points
(Kankarbagh auto stand, Dinakr chowk, Patancity chowk,
Kargil chowk, Dakbunglow, Boring road, Danapur bus stand,
Anisabad-bypass more, Zero mile & Mithapur bus stand). Hundred respondents (Bikers-
30, Car Drivers-25, Auto-20, Rickshaw puller-10, Cycling-07 & Pedestrian-08) were
interacted at each points from 06th June’16 to 15th June’16. During this survey total
1021 respondents were interacted with 34 questions. This survey was jointly conducted
by Sanaklap Jyoti and Safety Alliance partner organization.

3. PRESS CONFERENCE ON ROAD SAFETY:
Sankalp Jyoti & Safety Alliance jointly
organized a press conference for
dissemination of survey report on
“Causes of Road Accident in Patna”. The
report was issued on 16.07.2016 at Vishwa Budha Parishad, Patna. On
this occasion Mr. Vivekanand Ojha, Mr. Sanjay Kumar, Md. Azad
Sohail from BVHA, Mr. Kumar Anant Mohan from Mitrashray, Mr. Abhay Kumar Pandey-
A researcher of Planning Commission Govt. of Bihar were participated as a panelist.
4. WOMEN EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM:
Sankalp Jyoti organized one day women empowerment program on
21.05.2017 at Professional Training Institute (PTI). In this program
25 students of PTI were actively participated in story writing,
painting & discussion of women issues. The best stories had been
published in a women bested magazine named as “VIRANGANA
KADAM SAHAS KE…”. After the completion of the program organization has been
distributed the participation certificate among the participants.
5. CULTURAL PROGRAM:
Sankalp Jyoti organized various cultural program across the year at
Professional training Institute. We organized
Dandia Dance, Savan Mahotasava, Farwel Events,
New Year Celebration etc. to realize the
participants with Indian glorious culture. In this program about 500
participants were actively participated and learn & enjoy with events.
6. SURVEY ON HEALTH:

Sankalp Jyoti conducted a survey on Hepatitis-B & Malaria in the slum areas of Patna
municipality from 05th Novenber’16 to 25th November’16. In this survey total 72
volunteers were deputed and completed the survey by interacting with 360 respondents
from the age group of 15 to 45 years. Total 175 male, 165 and 10 adolescents were
targeted in this survey. The objective of this survey was preparedness, & awareness about
the Hepatitis-B & Malaria among the communities.
7. WORKSHOP ON SKILL DEVELOPMENT TRAINING:
Sankalp Jyoti & Professional Training Institute jointly organized one day workshop on
Skill Development Program at Professional Training Institute in
Patna on 25.08.2016. In this program about 75 participants were
participated from Arvind Mahila College, Ram Krishan Dwarika
College, B.D. Evening College & T.P.S. College. The secretary of
Sankalp Jyoti Mr. Santosh Kumar addressed about the importance of skill development in
current era and the branch manager of Canara Bank Mr. Umesh Chaudhary invited as a
chief guest in the program.
8. CELEBRATION OF WORLD YOGA DAY:
Sankalp Jyoti organized World Yoga Day on 21.06.2016 at Professional
Training Institute. On this occasion total 35 students of PTI were
participated in training & awareness program. Miss Nidhi Sinha was the
trainer on this occasion and advocate about the importance of Yoga in
their life.
9. MALARIA CONTROL PROGRAM:
Sankalp Jyoti conducted malaria control program from 25th Nov. 2016 to 25th Dec. 2016
at ward no. 31 of Patna Municipality. In this program we
conducted awareness campaign among the communities.
We also distributed 1500 All-Out mosquito liquidator
among the communities. We also distributed 2000 All-
Out mosquito liquidator among the children of Indiraj’s Convent & Patna St. Michael
School of Patna district.

10. TRAINING ON DISASTER MITIGATION:
Sankalp Jyoti conducted capacity building training on disaster mitigation viz. earthquake,
fire & road safety in urban Patna from 16th January’2017 to 21st January’2017 in 5
schools of Patna district. In this training about 2000 students were got the training. This
training program was conducted in Bankipur Girls High School, Ravindra Balika Girls
High Schools, Raghunath Girls High School, Shastrinagar Girls High School &
Shastrinagar Boys High School in Patna district of Bihar.
11. PLANTATION PROGRAM:
Sankalp Jyoti conducted plantation program in slum areas of Patna district. The objective
of the program was to sensitize the people about the environment and save the trees. The
concept of the program was implemented by Kitchen Garden. Sankalp Jyoti sensitizes the
community to develop kitchen garden at their home, by which they can save their money,
get fresh vegetables and contribute in the society to develop ecological balance.
12. CONSUMER AWARENESS PROGRAM:
Sankalp Jyoti conducted Consumer Awareness Programm on
24th December’2016. In this program 233 people were
actively participated and got the knowledge about ISI, BIS,
AGMARK & fssai. They got aware about consumer rights
and Acts. On this occasion the representative for BIS Mr.
Arvind Kumar Chaudhary, consumer rights expert Mr. Sushil Pandey addressed to the
participants and sensitize them about the best quality of commodities with consumer
rights.

13. SURVEY ON HEALTH INFRASTRUCTURE UNDER HAMARA
SWASTHYA, HAMARI AWAAZ:
Sankalp Jyoti participated in a campaign named as HAMARA
SWASTHYA, HAMARI AWAAZ for Mobilizing women’s voices to
demand quality health care in at govt. hospitals in Sheohar block of
Sheohar distric in Bihar. This survey was organized from
November’2016 to January’2017. In this campaign total 513 rural women were given
their voices to get better facilities at govt. hospitals.
