WHAT HAS BEEN
HAPPENING
Hi All. Well we have just
held our Xmas BBQ as athank you to my
students, and what a
great event that was.
Over 50 people attended, and it was an incredibly
positive and fun
environment I just love it
when we all get togetherlike this, it is so much fun.
I gave a short spotlight(demo) where I showed
what I am working on
using 2 horses together
you can check this out at
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=shgEUK0xFpo
I also recognised the
outstanding efforts of 4 of
my students over the past
year, and presented themeach with a Parelli lapel
badge. Megan Quinn was
awarded my most
dedicated student -starting Parelli lessons
about 12 months ago atpre level 1, and is now
working at a good level 3
a great effort.
Lucette Hogg recognised
for achievement Lucette
has been in the program
some time, but set a cleargoal with me 6 months
ago and has been
working towards this. The
progress that she has
made is amazing welldone.
Esther Yates is my most
open to learning
student. She has been
involved in horses all of her
life including instructing at
Pony club, still activelycompetes and shows
horses, and is taking
lessons and is very open to
learning the Parelli way.She is an inspiration to me.
Without giving her age
away, she is older than my
mother and I truly hopethat I can be as open to
learning when I am her
age.Lesley Palmer is my most
inspirational student.
Lesley is incredibly
focussed and is very
particular. Everything thatshe does, she does to a
very high standard. She
has high expectations of
both her horses andherself and she inspires me
to want to do better.
In the past months we
have held 2 workshops
and a playday all of
which were well attended
and went very well.

workshop
THANK YOU
As the year draws towards
an end I always make sure
I take some time to reflect
on my year, and then start
to plan and set goals fornext year. If there is one
overriding thing that
stands out for me over the
past year it has been the
joy that I have got out of
working with each of you.
Thank you. You are alldifferent people with
different hopes and
dreams (and horses!) and
at different stages of yourjourney. I love working
with each and every one
of you, and continue to
be inspired by what youare achieving. I am glad
that you have allowed me
to be part of your journeyand look forward to what
the next year brings.
TRAGEDY
Last newsletter we wereexcited about 4*
Instructor Russell Higgins
(based in the North Island)
and 3* Instructor JamesRoberts (from the UK!)
being based at our
property in February, starting colts and running
a workshop. Tragically
James died recently as a
result of a car accident,
our condolences go to his
family.At about the same time
Russell suffered a serious
knee injury that will see
him out of action forseveral months. It is early
days yet but at this pointthe colt start course is on
hold. We are working withRussell on alternative
options. Watch this space.
BREAKING NEWS!!!!!!!
Russell has confirmed that
he will be running 2 clinics
here at our property in
March 2013. I will be
assisting him and it is likely
that there will be a UKInstructor assisting as well,
as a working student to
Russell.

FACILITIES!
The ongoing work
continues! Many of you
will have noticed that we
have a new gate up thedriveway, replacing the
electric tapes. This
ensures that you have a
very safe and secureplace to unload your
horses very important
when bringing your horse
into a new environment.
The exciting addition is the
big chair, pictured below
being used at a recent
workshop. The idea forthis came about because
we had a large slab of
wood that we had been
using as a bridge butdecided that it was time
to use it as firewood. A
friend and Parelli student
Pauline Burgess -
suggestedwe make it into
a seat and the result is
outstanding!

Parelli student CharlotteDolheguy is making andselling a range of canvas
gear bags that are very
useful. For example, she
has a round equipmentbag suitable for holding a
range of equipment,
including your halter, 12,
22 & 45 ropes. I haveone of these and they are
brilliant! Another product
is a carrot stick bag. Theyare made of marine
grade canvas, are water
repellent and come in a
range of 5 colours. The
quality is excellent and I
would highly recommendthem. She can be
