UV AbsorbersBase requirements for an effective UV Absorber:

- Effective dissipation of the absorbed energy in a non-photosensitizingway (inherent light stability of the UV absorber molecule itself)

- High absorptivity in the sensitive UV region

- Minimal sensitivity to side reactions with / in the matrix (e.g. undesirable stabilizer consumption, discoloration, etc…)

- High persistence in the stabilized polymer matrix (minimal physical losses, good compatibility with the polymer)
