Key Offering

Fantastic Gymnastics

Parent and toddler support

With lots of young families residing

within Lower Green and beyond,

Sandown will offer Sensory Classes

suitable for <6months – Structured

classes learning. We will be getting

parents active and teaching babies and

toddlers core skills - balance, co-

ordination, independence and

confidence.

Young Leaders and Apprenticeships

We will provide first class training and career development for young people. Working closely with British Gymnastics, we will offer formative experiences and opportunities to introduce our coaches to potential full times roles within the sport and leisure sector.

Adult Classes

Adult sessions will be available to provide

an alternative form of exercise suitable for

all abilities from beginners to ‘back to’

classes for those with experience.

In addition with all day use in mind we

will partner with local clubs to offer

additional adult classes such as yoga,

Pilates and martial arts.

Sandown Gymnastics will be dedicated to offering the most comprehensive recreational gymnastics experience, accessible to all within the borough of Elmbridge and beyond.

Gymnastics is a sport which enhances the health and wellbeing of all; from children to adults. It promotes fitness, health, discipline, focus, teamwork and community engagement, within a safe and fun environment

New Location - Lower Green

Sandown Industrial Estate lies within easy reach of the Lower Green

Community. Easily accessible for residents, with great transport links including

access to the A3 and the M25, this is a great location to encourage all day use

for a new Community -centric sports and activity club. By basing ourselves here

we hope to encourage Lower Green residents to get active alongside the rest of

the community.



Community Scheme

A key feature of the proposed location is the

challenge and deprivation that some residents

of Lower Green face. Often overlooked due to

the proximity to more affluent parts of Surrey,

we want to break the barriers that might

prevent some from attending pre- and out of

school activities. Offering subsidies ranging from

20-100% to 15% of our capacity we are

confident we will ensure inclusivity throughout

the clubs’ offering.

Inclusivity and partnership with the community

will be achieved through working with local

groups and providing a welcoming venue.

OUR VISION

Proposed site plan

With all day community use in mind, we have designed a layout that includes a multi-use

viewing and café area which will be open to all. Equipment layout and specification will be

suitable for use by babies and toddlers, young gymnasts of all ages up to adults.

Accessibility and inclusivity have been at the forefront of our planning to ensure the club

is suitable for participants with disabilities.
