If you would have told me a couple of years ago that 850 to 900 pound Char-cross steer calves would be bringing $1300.00 plus, I might have thought you were being a little optimistic but they are! The Charolais influence feeders, both tan and silver are bringing top dollar and the buyers are crying for more. There has never been a better time to use Charolais sires on your cows; the industry cannot fill the demand and it is proven that they will increase your weaning weights and that means an increase in your bank balance.

The Sandan program is one of the long standing Charolais seedstock suppliers. This program has been built on cow families that have proven themselves over several generations. This gives you a greater degree of predictability in the calves you have born sired by a Sandan bull. Ursula has always been very critical of structural soundness and good feet under her cattle.

The bulls on offer are sound, athletic and have been developed easy, to ensure they will last for several seasons; giving you a great return on your investment.

Come early and look the bulls over in their own natural environment. Come hungry, as they always host one of the best beef sale lunches of the spring and don’t forget to leave room for the pie!

Thank you for your interest in our program, we are very proud ofthis year’s offering. The two year olds and long yearling fall born bulls are the best set we have ever had. Stout and powerful with the ability to go out into rough conditions and service a large number of cows. The yearlings are the kind we have strived to produce; consistent in type, moderate, thick, hairy, sound and athletic. The last year in the cattle business has been the most exciting we have ever seen; strong prices getting stronger every day and ample feed stocks have made it a banner year. As all of you know, if you are looking for Charolais, the Char influenced feeder calves continue to top the market and weigh more than any other calves of the same age, which is also very rewarding to see.

Terms:The terms of the sale are cash or cheque, payable at par atthe sale location. The right of property shall not pass untilafter settlement has been made; no invoicing on buyers inattendance, unless previous arrangements have been made.Every animal sells to the highest bidder and in cases ofdisputes, the auctioneer’s decision will be final. Currentexchange rates will be announced sale day. All monies are inCanadian funds.

Bidding:Each animal will sell to the highest bidder... no by-biddingwill be permitted. Disputes - Bidding will be reopenedbetween the parties involved in dispute. If no further biddingis made, the buyer will be the person from whom theauctioneer accepted the last bid. The auctioneer’s decisionon all disputes will be final.

Announcements:All announcements made from the auction block will takeprecedence over the printed matter in the catalogue.Buyers are therefore cautioned to pay close attention tosuch disclosures.

Breeder’s Guarantee:Should any bull fourteen (14) months of age or over fail toprove a breeder after being used on females known to bebreeders, the matter shall be reported in writing to the sellerwithin six (6) months following the date of purchase or six (6)months after the bull has reached fourteen (14) months ofage. The seller will have the right and privilege of six (6)months to prove the bull a breeder. No guarantee is giventhat semen collected from the bull will freeze.

Exception Guarantee:In cases where the animal is subjected to any hormonal orsurgical reproduction techniques after the sale, thisguarantee shall be null and void.

Certificate of Registration:Each animal will carry papers issued by the CanadianCharolais Association. A certificate of registry dulytransferred will be furnished to the buyer for each animalafter payment has been made.

Liabilities:All persons attend the sale at their own risk. The seller,facility owner and sale manager assume no liability, legal orotherwise, for any accidents that occur. It is understood thatT Bar C Cattle Co. Ltd. is acting only as a medium betweenbuyer and seller and is not responsible for any failure on thepart of either party to live up to his obligations. Neither doesT Bar C Cattle Co. Ltd. assume any financial obligations tocollect or enforce collection of any monies between partiesand any legal action that may in exceptional cases be takenmust be between the buyer and the seller.
