SEASON SUMMARY: San Diego wraps up the season today, looking to snap a three-game losing streak...the Padres conclude the season with a winning record at home (42-29) and a sub-.500 record on the road (currently 33-47)...after stumbling out of the starting blocks and going 34-53 prior to the All-Star break, the club has rallied to one of the strongest second-half performances in the Big Leagues (currently 41-33)...they have posted a series record of 20-28-4 that includes a 13-11 mark since the break. PROTECT THIS HOUSE: The Padres finished the 2012 schedule with a 42-39 record at home, clinching a winning home record at Petco Park for the seventh time in nine seasons...in fact, since the Astros came to town on 7/16 (first home game after the All-Star break), the club has gone 25-12 (.676) at Petco Park and is posting an 9-3 series record at home...it is the club’s best second-half home record in franchise history, topping the mark set by the 1988 and 1996 clubs (20-11, .645).
