Ganesha, Buddha, Kali-Mary Mercy, Christian God, Fates = jumble of religions

"Pleas spilled from her lips, a desperate trickle" - good sentence

"Her fingers slipped from his cheek like orchid petals falling" - Simile

p. 96 "I'm doing her a favor" - Pima - does she actually want to kill the girl? I thought she was a good character

"Starving for salvation" - alliteration "Gold, glittered, girl's" alliteration draws attention to her fingers & the prize that makes the decision hard & easy at the same time. "Nailer struggles with his conflicting emotions"

p. 98 "Pima pressed her case ... glitter of tears..." - Pima is human

p. 102 " Get the damned silver" - Pima not doing this for free - (b/c of her role as crew boss??)

Is the gold a symbol?? Wealth, temptation?Fairy tales references - What is the purpose of fairy tales to cultures? Does Nailer see himself as a knight in shining armor?
