• From the moment Jimmy sees Annabel Adams, he wants to be a better man. He wants the kind of life that would allow him to be happily married. He doesn’t want to take part in any criminal activity anymore because it isn’t worth it to him. What is worth it to him is being part of a new family that welcomes him and treats him like one of their own. It is also worth it to him to see the respect and admiration in Annabel’s eyes when she looks at “Ralph”. He loves Annabel so much that he is willing to do anything for her, even if that means changing his whole way of life. He doesn’t even see it as a sacrifice; he looks at his change as an improvement for the better. (step 5)
