Chamber Studio’s focus was on the relationship between architecture and music, aiming to create a residency for four musicians and a space for performance in Stockbridge, Edinburgh. The project began with an abstract approach through observation and a sketch study based from a selected text by le Corbusier and music from John Cage. The final design isolated public services space within a concrete wall and the concert spaces within a timber lattice structure, so to create acoustic isolation.

Chamber Studio’s graduation project focus is upon the show and store of a chosen compendium/collection - candle wax. There were two phases to the project, the first was to house the collection in a chosen site, the ‘incubator’ within Newcastle Upon Tyne, England. The second is to expand on the incubator within a large site within Newcastle, whilst reducing the design brief to fit the compendium. The final design developed into a wax workshop, with spaces for boiling, pouring and hanging the wax.
