Physics Twister Instructions Materials: Twister Mat, Spinner, Colored Question Cards Directions Set the mat out on a flat surface. Take off shoes. Designate who is playing and who is the referee/spinner *For a 2-player game: Players face each other from opposite ends of the mat, near the word Twister. Place one foot on the yellow circle and the other foot on the blue circle closest to your end of the mat. Your opponent does the same on his or her end. For a 3-player game: Two players face each other on opposite ends of the mat, near the word Twister. Each player places one foot on the yellow circle and the other foot on the blue circle closest to his or her end of the mat. The third player faces the center from the red- circle side of the mat, placing one foot each on the two middle red circles. *From the official Twister rulebook The referee spins the spinner until it lands on a color. If the spinner lands between two colors, a re-spin is allowed. Depending on the color, the referee will choose a matching- colored physics question to ask. The colors correspond to certain physics topics, as follows: o Green: Uses of Waves o Blue: Properties of Waves o Yellow: Transparent, Translucent, and Opaque Objects o Red: Light-Reflected, Transmitted, Absorbed The player must answer the question correctly, and place the called-out body part on the answer on the game board. If the player gets the answer wrong, then the other player gets to choose how the player that answered incorrectly must play (Must be in normal twister lingo, such as “Right Foot on Red”

The referee spins the spinner until it lands on a color. If the spinner lands between two colors, a re-spin is allowed.

Depending on the color, the referee will choose a matching-colored physics question to ask. The colors correspond to certain physics topics, as follows:

o Green: Uses of Waveso Blue: Properties of Waveso Yellow: Transparent, Translucent, and Opaque Objectso Red: Light-Reflected, Transmitted, Absorbed

The player must answer the question correctly, and place the called-out body part on the answer on the game board.

If the player gets the answer wrong, then the other player gets to choose how the player that answered incorrectly must play (Must be in normal twister lingo, such as “Right Foot on Red”

The game continues until players touch the mat with their elbows or knees, or falls. The last player remaining wins!
