Step 1:FIND LOCATION FOR THE EVENT
• Locate a location to hold the event• by using city owned property• by finding a large property that a resident of Waller will donate to use or rent out
NOTE: Renting property will effect your budget
• Get an aerial view of the property
• Plan a layout of the event using the aerial view
Step 2:ESTABLISHING A BUDGET
The budget for this fair would be $150,000, minus advertisements, sponsorships and donations it would only cost you, City of Waller, approximately $25,000.
ADVERTISEMENT: • Four types of ads:
• Newspaper• Local• Houston Chronicle
• Local Television/Radio Commercials• Magazines• Billing Inserts
SPONSORS:
DONATIONS:From local residents and companies
To cut the Budget in half acquire Volunteers
• High School Students• Sports Teams• Cheerleaders• Clubs
• PTA/PTO• Chamber of Commerce • Other Local organizations• Residents
If you have volunteers the only staff needed is Security and Cleaning Crew…

Things to do:• Get there early• Make sure everyone has what they need• Make sure you have all the permits necessary• Since you have food, make sure the Health
Inspector is on hand early before the Festival begins
• Do a couple of walk a rounds to make sure everything works
