About The Book

I have always been fascinated about achievement and

had a curiosity to know what distinguished the

unachievers from achievers. What was that thin line

between a failure and a success? This curiosity lead me

to understand the laws behind success.As part of my

research I realized that there are 11 principle factors

which adhered to and practised regularly leads a person

closer to success. I have tried to cover in this short & concise book all

the important factors which lead you to stunning

success. As you go through this book you will be

surprised to see that life has so much to give if we are

really prepared for it.Success would be the only choice

About the Author:

I introduce myself as Rohit Shetty having graduated

from Mumbai University.My first stint in writing was a

short collection of poems titled “70 Lovely Poems on

Life”Also I have written a book”Straight from the heart-

A Collection of Love & Lovely Poems”. I was really

excited when I was writing this book. I have a small

group of friends who motivate and bring the best out in

me. I wish that this book serves as an aid to you to

achieve success in your life and prepare you to face

challenges. No matter whatever your present situation is

believe me that this principle factors are universal and if

you practice it in your day to day life the sky would be

the limit to anything you want to achieve.

s you sit to read the newspaper you catch a

glimpse of the news you like the most. Be it

politics or be it sports or celebrities. But there

is an innate desire within all of us to imbibe the

peculiarities of such people who shine like stars and

reach greater heights. Right from birth every parent

expects that their child should excel in studies and make

them feel proud. They wish that all the efforts they put in

bear fruits. They wish that we succeed and earn a living.

But the passage of life is not so easy. You encounter

failures. Things don’t go your way. You struggle at

times and wonder, Why me? The fact is that every

person is not born to succeed, but he strives to succeed.

Have you ever thought, when you were a small toddler

you tried to ride a bicycle but you fell at times. Did you

stand there leaving the bicycle aside? Or did you wish to

try again. I presume that the answer is in the affirmative.

The joy you got to ride the bicycle again didn’t lower

your spirits and you finally learnt how to ride the

bicycle.

Life’s journey is just the same. The truth is how we

approach it.We travel one day to another not sure what

we actually want and ponder whether our action will

bear fruit. We wish that we live a life full of ease.

Desires are a plenty but the pocket is empty. Haven’t

known what God has actually in store for us. Yet we try

hard to make ends meet. Many a times we do forget that

success is actually near and there is a fear. Fear of

failure? Fear that things didn’t turn the way it ought

to.This is the reason why I intend to write this book. You

may have all the talents and capabilities in the world but

if you don’t act, Success would be very far.Even farther

than you might have ever wondered. The will to succeed

is based upon certain factors which if adhered to and

regularly practiced will give you the key to success.

Reminding you of your school or college days

wherein you used to memorize formulas based upon

certain concepts. Be it subjects such as maths & science.

Just as these formulas apply to the scientific world, also

the principle factors of success depends upon certain

formulas which we may term as principle factors.

I don’t know what has happened to you in past. But

I am really sure that if you apply these principle factors

in life you are bound to succeed. Perhaps you may be

reading this book to have an edge over your competitors

or just having an enjoyable read. No matter whatever

your present situation is, if you apply this principle

factors in life, Success becomes the only choice and your

destiny.

They say “Extraordinary things happen in life

when you do ordinary things in an extraordinary

manner”. When you go to a bookstore you may find

many self-help books & books written on various

achievers. Be it Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar or an

ideal like Gandhiji or the much adored Amitabh

Bachhan.

Would you wish that one day your book would find

a place at the bookstore? This sounds incredible, yet it

feels great. All these achievers had one principle in

common. Which one? Any guesses? Yes, you are right.

It was belief in themselves. If these great men could find

a place in history, what about you? What about your

dreams? Will they materialize?

I recommend you to apply this principle factors in

life. I probably wouldn’t tell that you become a

millionaire overnight. But I am sure that whatever you

wish to achieve in life, success is bound to happen.

I am going to divide the principle factors into 11

chapters. My advice to you is read this book and apply

these principle factors in your day to day life. Just as a

plant takes time to grow after a seed is planted, similarly

you will grow into a person who is worthy of his goals

and an achiever in life. As the saying goes “Where there

is a will there is a way”

When the pressure is on there is always a chance of

compromising. To settle for less than your true potential.

To look within us in disbelief. As if the world has

collapsed and there is no room for hope.

Friends, let me remind you that you are the only

person who will lead yourself from where you are to

where you want to go ahead in life. Have you ever

thought what impact decisions play in your life? By the

grace of God human beings are the only animals who

have the power of free will which is also called the

power of choice. If you often fail it doesn’t mean that

you are a failure. It just means that you have to work

hard on the mistakes you have made and correct it. I

repeat “You need to correct your mistakes and only you

can do it”. No matter in whatever profession or field you

are, be a teacher or a professional or a sportsperson or a

student. The list is endless. You are reading the right

book. Close your eyes for a while and imagine the

dreams which you always cherished and it didn’t come

true. Now change the mental picture into a more clear

vivid picture. Now, imagine that all the dreams are right

in front of you and it resembles what you want to

achieve in life.

How does it feel? Great? Friends, There is great

power in imagination. The modern world is constantly

changing. You see new bridges, research and

development in every field, you admire the marvellous

creation of Walt Disney called the Disney Land. You

may have probably heard about the Seven Wonders of

the World. All these creations were not made in a day. It

required will power, hard work and a lot of patience.

Strange fact that these were the efforts put by human

beings.

I wish if you could put even 1 percent of these

efforts in your daily life, you will excel in any chosen

field of endeavour. Let’s now dwell on the principle

factors which you need to consider and apply it whole

heartedly and practice it in your daily life. As you have a

glance on the contents of the book you will feel some

exciting events. You will realize that Success is not only

your destiny but it is the only choice.

othing has ever been achieved in this world by

the human race without the power of self-belief.

Belief in yourself opens up the embryo of

possibility. When you venture out for a new project or a

task which you wish to accomplish you put your efforts

whole heartedly. If you are a student, before you sit for

the exams you constantly revise all the subjects and

appear for the exams. This in fact stems the confidence

within you and you come out with flying colours. The

most important ingredient in the recipe of success is

none other than the power of self-belief. And to gain the

level of self-confidence, you really need to work hard.

Open the history books in your library and you will

find that great achievers did not have all the skills and

talents but in fact had belief in themselves that they

could one day bring the change they want to see in this

world. We see visionaries like Mahatma Gandhi,

Jawaharlal Nehru and the freedom fighters of those

times who fought for our independence. They knew that

the Britishers wouldn’t give up easily to their demands.

Self-Belief was the only armour with them which they

used effectively to fight and fight hard. Had they given

up the freedom struggle we would still be under the

British Raj. We cherish freedom today because of the

self-belief of our forefathers. Strange but true it takes a

lot to have a persona like Gandhiji embedded in our

currency notes today.

When you go to work I am pretty sure that you wish

to give the best. My advice to you is don’t give up to

setbacks. If a task doesn’t get completed, focus on a

different task. May be this could be done quickly. And

then concentrate on the other tasks. When you do simple

tasks, it gives you a lot of self-confidence. And when

you master the entire work, you’ll master the power of

self-Belief. I want you to remember that self-belief is the

most important factor in the journey to succeed.

Now the question is how to master the art of self-

belief. Suppose you want to be a good teacher or an

academically intelligent student or an expert in a

profession of your choice. When you come to

know why you want to achieve something in life,

how to achieve becomes easier. Give more importance to

the “Why” principle. When you are sure about this, the

“How” principle becomes a lot easier. Nevertheless the

chances of succeeding in life is based on this factor. The

power of self-belief gives you a goal and faith that

however difficult the circumstances are success is

assured. I would like to emphasize that self-belief

doesn’t come easily.

We dwell on problems rather than solutions. You

may have seen people who are highly self-confident and

people with low self-esteem. Your friend may be good at

something where as you may be not. You feel in life that

the other person has talents and you don’t have one. Just

try to remove this type of perception forever. They are

negative which will hinder your future too.

Try to assess your strengths and you will find ways to

capitalize on strengthts.Don’t let others strengths

disappoint you. The fact is you have the best resources

in the world and if you believe in the Almighty you will

realize your true potential. Belief is all about gathering

evidences about things you feel will come true for you.

Self-belief comes from the fact when you are sure of the

outcome of a particular situation. Mastering the art of

self-belief requires faith. You sometimes ponder why

certain situations don’t turn in you favour and you look

up to see whether your stars are twinkling in your life or

not.

Whether or not the stars twinkle or whether or not

you are a great believer in destiny the reality is if you

think you can, you can.Great athletes break records

when they endure themselves to the point wherein others

would have not endured. All I would like to tell you is

that when you shift your vision from interest to true

commitment you’ll excel in life. As the saying goes

“Excellence is not a matter of chance but a matter

of choice. Having a positive attitude is a must to raise

the bar of self-belief. Sometimes it will happen that your

motivational levels are down. I presume you visit the

temple or a church or a mosque to find peace and

solitude. It may so happen that inner peace is more

related to creating belief. So, just close your eyes and

believe that a higher self exists to make your life’s

journey smooth.

Our elders have always believed in the concept of

yoga. You may have heard about pranayama and the

asanas.If we regularly practice them and do exercises

every day our body becomes fit to face the worldly

tasks. I am trying to relate this to your inner-self. You

may have heard “A healthy mind rests in a healthy

body”. So it is much important to have a healthy body as

having a healthy mind.

As we fill our stomach to daily food it is also

important to fill our mind with positive thoughts.

Thoughts are very powerful for if used effectively can

alter what we think about our self and then the self-belief

which we create. I repeat that self-belief is the basic

ingredient in the recipe of success. Whatever thought

you constantly bombard in your mind will effectively

give results whether negative or positive. Similarly

whatever thoughts we constantly channelize in our mind

will create self-belief in your sub conscious mind.

The most important thing is what self-belief does is

the decisions which we make. Self-Belief doesn’t come

easily and I would like to remind you once again that if

you master this art other factors necessary to succeed

will become a lot easier. So, it is always important to

have a positive attitude.

Having said so, let’s bear in mind that what you

sow so shall you reap. If you sow positive thoughts

outcome would be positive and so does self-belief and if

you sow negative thoughts the outcome will be negative.

Harness the power of self-belief and see the results you

achieve.
