We are the biggest and the best entertainment company in the world, and Disney never fails to get into the headlines.

Here is the ones we picked up...

After four years of Hanna Montana, the final curtain comes down. The show which debuted on March 24, 2006 on Disney Channel focuses on a girl who lives a double life as an average teenage school girl named Miley Stewart by day and a famous pop singer named Hannah Montana by night, concealing her real identity from the public, other than her close friends and family.

Rumours of the show's end have been swirling for about a year now, and now Disney confirmed that the show has been renewed for the fourth and final season, which started production on Janu-ary 18, 2010 and is expected to premiere in July 2010. Season 4 of Hannah Mon-tana is being promoted as Hannah Montana: For-ever. The season-three finale, called "Is Miley Saying Goodbye?" is set to air as a one-hour special, setting up the story line for the fourth season!

Brand new to the Disney Channel is 'Good Luck Charlie' Created by Phil Baker and Drew Vaupen (Disney's "Sonny With a Chance" and "Suddenly Susan"),. The series centres on the Duncan family, who are still adjusting to the "surprise" birth of their fourth child,

Charlotte. When parents Amy , a nurse, and Bob, an exterminator, return to work, they ask their three older children teenagers PJ and Teddy , and ten-year-old Gabe for help raising their little sis-ter. At the same time, Teddy, PJ, and Gabe try to deal with school and typical social challenges. The events of each episode become material for a video diary Teddy is mak-ing for her younger sister. Teddy hopes the videos will provide useful advice for Charlie after they have both grown up and Teddy has moved out. The series begins when Charlie is nine months old. Good Luck Charlie premiered on the Disney Channel (USA) in April. Expect here sometime around May.

Happily Ever After? It's a question that philosophers and children alike have been debating for centuries: what happens after happily ever after? Now, thanks to Disney, we may fi-nally find out. That's because, Disney is planning a sequel to 2007's hit 'Enchanted.' That film, which told the story of a fairy tale princess who was marooned in New York City by an evil witch, made over $123 million, domestically, and $340 million worldwide. In fact, the biggest hurdle facing the sequel, which Disney has put on the fast

track in hopes of getting it into theatres as soon as possible, may be that very success. Thanks to her star turn in 'Enchanted,' Amy Adams has become one of Hollywood's hottest properties, which may throw up some roadblocks for the studio in terms of both her availability and the higher salary she now commands. Still, given the success of the original, Disney is pushing forward, already signing 'The Proposal' director Anne Fletcher to helm the follow-up. Rumour has it Disney is also looking to bring back the full cast from the original, which includes Patrick Dempsey, James Marsden and Susan Sarandon. Stay tuned for more on this in the next issue!

Toy Story 3 hits

theatres on July 23rd, 2010, and we hope you’re getting as excited for it as we are! Left you can see a new Toy Story 3 movie poster which includes tons of new characters – including those we haven’t met yet! So what can you expect from this long awaited movie? Stunning 3D effects, bestselling soundtrack? Com-edy, drama and encapsulated in a breathtaking? Well if the original Toy Story (1995) and the hit sequel (1999) are anything to go by, I think we are in for a real treat. Woody, Buzz, and the rest of their toy-box friends are dumped in a day-care center after their owner, Andy, de-parts for college. Although at first excited by their new surroundings, and the seemingly friendly toys who also live at the centre, it isn't long before they become determined to return home- a resolution shared by Andy, who begins to realise that his toys always have a place in his heart. Left, you can see the ex-citing new cast of the movie. We could barely squeeze them all in this first issue. ‘Ken & Barbie’, ‘Chunk’ and ‘Peas-in a Pod’ are just some of our favourites. As well as being created in the su-perb Disney 3D, this will be the first PIXAR film to be released in IMAX. Get on those awful looking 3D specs and get into the front of the long queue for the event of the summer! The toys are back in town! Which character is your favorite in the poster? Stay tuned as we go a lit-tle deeper; 960 meets some of the new cast for what could be the movie of 2010!

And after his exciting expe-dition, Ken will be ready to hit the dance floor in style. His accessories include matching scarf, sensible loaf-ers, and a fashion-forward gold belt. Dozens of additional Ken outfits sold separately. Ken is voiced by Michael Keaton

Blake Clark is the new voice of Slinky Dog, re-

placing Jim Varney, who died in 2000.

Chunk will rock your world! This gargantuan crea-ture sports protective shoulder spikes, while his f e-rocious fists are ready to smash whatever enemy gets in his way. Chunk’s oversized limbs are fully posable, making him ready for hours of imaginative fun. As an added bonus, the press of a hidden head spike will spin Chunk’s facial expression from friendly to fierce! No batteries necessary.

The A113 logo thats pops up in most of the Pixar films makes an appearance on a license plate on the back of Andy's Mom's car.

The Ken doll in Toy Story 3 is modelled after "Animal Lovin" Ken from 1988.

Originally, a sequel was planned when it seemed that Disney and PIXAR would split over creative differences in 2004-2005. Disney started up an animation division titled 'Circle 7,' which would have been in charge of churning out sequels for PIXAR films that would not in-volve the original creators at PIXAR. Entertainment Weekly published an article that said the original plot for Toy Story 3 was going to be about Buzz Lightyear having a defect. Buzz would then be shipped to Taiwan to be fixed, but the other toys find out that the toy company is just replacing the broken Buzz toys with new ones, so they ship themselves to Taiwan to rescue him. This script had to be canned when PIXAR and Disney made amends. Part of their agreement was not to further de-velop projects that had been planned during their fallout.

Disney is going theme park with its new Times Square retail store. Perhaps trying to emulate the retail magic of Apple stores, Mickey Mouse & Co. will be transforming an old retail space in New York's Times Square into an interactive store with theme park attractions and children's exhibits. Hoping to attract young consumers and their par-ents, the store will conjure up an interactive princess castle and a kids' theatre offering animation and storytel l ing for the younger crowd. Also on display will be specific ac-tivities for kids, special events, and even celebrity guest appearances timed with major Disney film re-leases. Much of the credit for the new store design, accord-ing to an October New York Times article, can ac-tually be given to Apple CEO Steve Jobs, who joined Disney's board in 2006, after the company

bought Pixar Animation Studios. Just as he pushed for a certain de-sign for the Apple stores, Jobs reportedly convinced Disney to fashion its own stores on a grand scale. "Bringing Disney store to the centre of Times Square is a monumental achievement, and we have created a retail ex-perience that comple-ments the energy and in-novation that Times Square inspires," Jim Fielding, president of Dis-ney Stores Worldwide, said in a statement. The new store, located at 1540 Broadway, the for-mer home of a large Vir-

gin Records store, will be Disney's second major New York venture. In the 1990s, the company helped change the look and feel of New York's well-known and once-run-down 42nd Street district by renovating the New Amsterdam Theatre into a new Disney theatre with live productions. With the store scheduled to open in the fall of this year, renovations should begin soon. Disney is al-ready planning to apply this magic touch to more than 300 other outlets around the United States and Europe over the next five years.
