Which cleaning agent will clean the best?

Prediction

vinegar will clean the best, bleach will be second best, Windex will be third bestwater will be the last of the best.


My Hypothesis

I think the vinegar will clean the best because there are acid in it. Water won’t clean very good because there no chemicals or acid in it.

Procedure

There are three cleanings and one control (The control is water). The agents are: vinegar, bleach and windex. I am going to test each of these on a huge glass and split it into four equal sections with masking tape.


Procedure Continued Step 1:Put ketchup stains, pen marks, glue stains and grease from butter on glass.Step 2: Choose the first cleaning agent. Spray two times on a towel.Step 3: Give all those stains two rubs.Step4: Determine which is the cleanest Step5: Choose a second cleaning agent and do it all over again.


My Main Goal

My main goal is not only to find out which cleaning agent is better, but also it is to see the results. If water cleans just as same as all the other cleaning agents. That means that water, bleach,windex, and vinegar works the same on the stains.


Independent Variables and Dependent Variables

Dependent variable is what is how clean the glass is. Because that is what we’ll be looking for.Independent variables are the cleaning agents because that is what I am changing.


ConclusionThis is important to the world because, if you ever went to a super market and needed to buy a cleaning agent, what would you pick? I think my science experiment will help people make a better decision. Also, if there is a ketchup stain and you need to clean it, use windex. If you need to clean a butter stain, use vinegar.If there’s a glue stain, use windex and bleach is a good for cleaning pen marks.Also, don’t use water if you need to clean anything.It was hard work but also was fun. At least I can help mom with detergent shopping. There was no rights or wrong with this test and I think thats why it took less pressure of the people. Most of them picked the glue stain because it was the least messiest but some of them picked the ketchup stain because it was the most messiest. Maybe it’s from their personality.Windex had the most tally marks, vinegar came in second place, water second, and bleach third.
