SALUMCO’s scope of work in a certain project will be carried out as follows:

Wh th i d t t d t i h d d t th O ti D t t S l ill i i d P j t MWhen the signed contract document is handed over to the Operations Department, Salumco will assign an experienced Project Manager, who is familiar with similar projects, and has the adequate management skills to manage the works according to the following:

1. Preparation & Engineering Works:The major engineering works such as shop drawings, typical details, structural calculations, material submittals, material index list and f b i i d i ill b d b h i l d S l hi h d d d h i i lfabrication drawings will be prepared by our technical department, as per Salumco high standards, and as per the international system providers recommendation for international systems (Schuco, Technal & Alu K).

1.1 Shop Drawings: The first step of preparation works is to check the tender drawings for any modifications and issue the concept designs architectural drawings and the related aluminum schedule, showing the elevation, vertical section, horizontal section, location & specifications of each item In parallel and with close coordination with the project manager meeting might be arranged with mainspecifications of each item. In parallel, and with close coordination with the project manager, meeting might be arranged with main contractor and consultant to discuss the project details and requirements. Accordingly, shop drawings and section details are prepared for each particular item of the scope. The issued drawings are checked by the team leader, the technical manager and the projectmanager, then submitted for approval. Submittals are prepared as per Salumco procedures and forms to maintain proper filing and record. After finalizing the modifications process as per the consultant’s requirements, a full set of drawings is issued for construction, and several copies are distributed as per the project conditions.and several copies are distributed as per the project conditions.

1.2 Material Index List: Material index list is prepared after receiving the consultant’s comments and/or approvals on the submitted shop drawings. The material index list includes all material references and quantities, such as aluminum profiles, gaskets, accessories , sealants…. As well as the draft glass list which will be followed by the exact cutting sizes after checking the as built sizes on site.

1.3 Material Submittal: Samples and data sheets for all the used aluminum systems and the related glass and accessories are submitted for approval. Submittals are prepared as per Salumco procedures and forms to maintain proper filing and record.

1.4 Execution Schedule: Execution schedule is prepared in coordination with the main contractor, and submitted to the consultant for approval.

1.5 Procurement: The material of the project are ordered according to material index list. Orders may be issued in several batches according to the progress on site and the related execution schedule.

1.6 Site Visits and Mobilization: In parallel to the above, the site Project Engineer/Supervisor pay consecutive visits to site to observe the existing conditions, arrange for mobilization and office setup and prepare the adequate logistic procedures for the works to be executed properly. A detailed method statement will be prepared for particular applications of sophisticated items. A Project Engineer will be assigned to be resident on site for close follow up, supervision and coordination.

1.7 Site Survey & Measurement: After site readiness, all site opening are surveyed and measured. Accordingly, cutting lists are issued to be implemented in fabrication drawings and glass order.

2. Fabrication, Installation & Handing Over:Fabrication, Installation and Handing Over will be operated as follows:

2.1 Profile Protection: All aluminum profiles are protected by high quality protection tape, in order to avoid any damage to the coating during fabrication, transportation and installation processes. Protection is applied by special machines or manually.

2.2 Fabrication: The fabrication process will take place in Salumco factories by our highly experienced Technicians (5 to 20 years of i ) i d b i d d i h ll i i d b / i fexperience), supervised by our trained and experience Foremen. The overall process is inspected by our QA/QC engineers, from

fabrication to dispatch, in accordance to Salumco’s QA/QC standards.

2.3 Delivery to Site: When the site is ready for frame installation, the frames will be transported to site and stored in the storage area provided by the Main Contractor. All Gaskets and Accessories are carefully stored in their original packing in order to avoid any kind of damages (scratches moisture humidity)damages (scratches, moisture, humidity)

2.4 Installation: Once the finishing works are in progress, and the site is clean, the installation of frames can start. The installation process is carried out by professional technicians, supervised by highly experienced supervisors. Once the frame installation is in progress, another team will start the glass installation in parallel.

2.5 Safety: All our installation and logistic teams on site are equipped with a full gear of safety equipment to ensure a safe operation of works.

2.6 Site Coordination: The Project Manager/Project Engineer will attend all the progress site meetings, in order to maintain close continuous coordination with the client and the site management, and achieve the requested targets in the specified time frame. 2.7 Final Adjustment: After installation is complete, our finishing Supervisors will scan all the works, and note their comments. Our finishing teams will adjust all openings, and rectify all defects, if there any, to the complete satisfaction of the site Supervisor and the Project Manager.Manager.

2.8 Handing Over: After final adjustment and rectification, a cleaning team will peal all the protection tape and clean all the frames and glass. The aluminum and glazing works are then handed over to the Main Contractor.
