Step 1 - Applying to SCC
Complete and submit a SCC Admissions ApplicationNo Fee
Submit official high school transcript or GED, along with official college transcript (if applicable)
Register to take the ACCUPLACER placement test or provide proof of exemption such as, SAT scores (Math: 530; Critical Reading: 540; High School Transcript: 3.0 GPA), or proof of previous college placement testing from another college

Step 4 - Meeting Admissions Criteria ALL Nursing Applicants:
Need a minimum of 50% in Math & Reading “College Ready” to take A/P 1 & ENG 101
ADN Applicants: A total score of 60% or higher will be accepted for consideration
PN Applicants: A total score of 50% or higher will be accepted for consideration
Maximum of 100 points earned

A Few Reminders Prerequisites are NOT required nor necessary when
applying to the Nursing Program!
ADN Students - Must be "College Ready" to take: English 101 and Anatomy & Physiology I during Summer of 2016!
PN Students - Must be "College Ready" to take: English 101 during Summer of 2016!
There is NO early admission College Courses and grades must be on an Official SCC
transcript in order to be counted on the Rubric You must earn a C+ or higher in ALL courses in the Nursing
Program You have two applications: College Admission and Nursing
Program Two sets of Official Transcripts – one for each Department
