The Speaker, Alderman O Daniels opened the meeting by welcoming everyone present and requested Councillor L Mitchell to open the meeting with a prayer.
R2/2-20 OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS The Speaker, Alderman O Daniels informed the meeting of Mr
Bongani, an official working at the Solid Waste department who was hospitalised in ICU due to an injury on duty.
Alderman A Kruger welcomed Mr L Volschenk as newly appointed
Director of the Community and Operational Services directorate. He wished him all the best in this position and his career at SBM.
The whip of the ANC, Councillor B Mankay also welcomed Mr L
Volschenk to SBM. On behalf of the ANC, she wished him all the best with his endeavours at SBM in a directorate focused on basic service delivery.
Councillor T Salman congratulated Councillor B Mankay on her appointment as whip on the ANC and also welcomed Mr L Volschenk. He informed the meeting that the ANC won the bi election in Ward 8 of Matzikama Municipality.
