MULTICALIBER SNIPER WEAPON

System overview

Sako TRG M10 is a bolt action, manually operated, magazine-fed, sniper weapon that is available in hundreds of configurations. Among other features, Sako TRG M10 offers several different calibers and barrel lengths. The multicaliber sniper rifle comes with a high-capacity magazine. There are currently three standard color options to choose from: Stealth Black, Tungsten Grey and Coyote Brown.

Modular and configurable design of the Sako TRG M10 allows the operator or armorerto quickly change configuration, barrel or caliber separately or simultaneously enabling the weapon to be tailored into mission specific configurations.

A fully adjustable rear stock can be selected as a factory option to fold either to the left or right side of the rifle. Adjustments can be made quickly and without tools. The desired adjustments may then be locked down with the small tools included in the rifle. An adjustable rear monopodis available as an optional accessory.

M-LOK rail interface system in the fore-end can be equipped with M-LOK compatible rails and accessories to match the operational requirements. Fore-ends are available in two different lengths, short or long, allowing for weight and balance optimization with different barrel lengths.

No need for conventional workshop tools as all necessary tools for the configuration, barrelor caliber change are included in the rifle. With the bolt being the primary tool, other small tools are stowed in the fore-end.

Mission specific configurability and true multi-role capability is offered through Sako TRG M10 in a single weapon system.

Rapid adjustments and modularity of the Sako TRG M10 enables personalization and easily transforms the weapon according to operator preferences.

A high level of configurability easily converts the Sako TRG M10 from a true long-range precision rifle into a compact and maneuverable piece of equipment.

Reduces burden on the operator as there’s no need to carry an excessively equipped rifle when weight and balance can be optimized for mission success.

Caliber change kit will do the job. There’sno need for separate training weapons anymore. Constantly tightening environmental restrictions and caliber limitations on military shooting ranges and training areas bring increased challengesto the long distance shooting community.

The modular concept of the Sako TRG M10 overcomes these challenges by enabling theuse of smaller calibers for training and full power calibers for active missions.

Extend the service life of the system through decreased amount of wear (sustained by mission specific heavier calibers).Use of smaller training calibers reduces overall ammunition expenses.

MULTIPLE CALIBERSMission specific configurability

Threat situations evolve constantly, therefore Sako TRG M10 has been designed to provide Modular Multicaliber Capability enabling the operator to change barrel and caliber in field conditions within minutes and without the use of any special tools or equipment.

Sako TRG M10 has distinctive visual and tactile indicators for respective calibers. Identification of caliber specific components can be done from grooves on barrels and bolt bodies and circles on magazine base plates.

Caliber conversion on Sako TRG M10 is done through a caliber change kit consistingof three components: barrel assembly, complete bolt, and magazine. Every TRG M10 barrel assembly is factory set, tested and fully compatible with any TRG M10 rifle.No gauging, nor adjusting is necessary. The bolt is always supplied as a completeassembly in the caliber change kit, to eliminate the risk of losing or mixing up critical parts.

Sako TRG M10 was engineered to allow the operators to carry out most of the individual configuration, maintenance and repair tasks. This ensures minimized downtime for equipment going through higher maintenance levels.

LAW ENFORCEMENTReady for service wherever or whenever the duty calls

Sako TRG M10 provides a single weapon system solution for law enforcement agencies and police snipers. Task specific configurability allows armorers to maintaina lower number of different types of weapons in inventory resulting in simplified logistics.

For most law enforcement scenarios where target engagement takes place from short firing distances, the compact .308 Win caliber rifle equipped with 16 or 20 inch barrel and suppressor is more than ideal.

Modular design of the Sako TRG M10 allows the transportation with rear stock folded and the rest of the weapon disassembled into key components in an extremely compact and discreet manner during low-profile operations.

Where more distance and penetrationis required the weapon easily transforms into full scale long range sniper tool by simply changing barrel, bolt and magazine.

Compact and rugged overall design together with folding rear stock makes Sako TRG M10 the perfect choice for ground or aerial operations where space for equipment is limited and maneuverability of the weapon becomes critical.

Tikka T3x TAC A1 is a special development for law enforcement sniper application. The rifle is based on Sako’s famous Tikka T3 bolt action construction but made to meet the challenging requirements of long-range tactical shooting. BACK-UP IRON SIGHTS Adjustable flip-up type back-up iron sights can be mounted on a TRG 22/42 rifle simultaneously with optics to enable the use of the weapon in case the primary optical sight sustains damage or otherwise becomes unserviceable. The rear sight dial has four pre-set apertures for different ranges.

Sako offers a variety of dedicated accessories for long range tactical shooting to complement the TRG M10, TRG 22/42 and T3x TAC Sniper Weapon Systems. Accessories are not only limited to those directly related to the weapon, but Sako also suppliesa full line of supporting equipment through our extensive partner network.

The items complementing the sniper weapon systems may include match grade ammunition, day optics, night vision, thermal imaging, laser target designation, spotting and ranging optics, ballistic computers, weather trackers, tactical cases and sniper packs – just to mention few.

SCOPE MOUNTSA full range of all-steel or aluminum scope mounting options complete the sniper weapon system. Scope mount rings are available in three different diameters and in several different heights to match basically any day scope. ISMS (Ideal Scope Mount Systems) made by Spuhr specifically for Sako are also available.

MAGAZINESThe reliable, center feeding two-row staggered magazines of TRG sniper rifles are manufactured from steel and polymer. Magazines have a black nitrate treatment for strength and protection against corrosion. TRG M10 magazines feature a shock absorbing bottom with a rubber surface for better grip and increased friction.

CARRYING SLING TRG multipurpose carrying sling offers a variety of uses: normal carrying sling, adjustable shooting sling and biathlon type harness. The sling attaches to the rifle with heavy duty hook type or QD push button type swivels.

FIELD CLEANING KIT A dedicated kit for Sniper Rifles with sectioned steel rod and cable, including patch holders and brushes for calibers 7.62 and .338. Includes all necessary items to keep the weapon operational in field conditions.

REAR STOCK SPACERS Full adjustment capability for the standard stock to meet operator preferences. 10mm and 3mm spacers for the cheek piece, straight and angled for the recoil pad.

SUPPRESSOR Highly effective in decreasing the audible and visible muzzle signature of the weapon, almost completely eliminating the dust and dirt blast from the ground. The suppressor also significantly reduces the felt recoil. A variety of suppressor options are available for different calibers depending on the operational requirements. The Bore-Lock® quick detachable locking mechanism allows the suppressor mounting on a Bore-Lock® muzzle brake.

MUZZLE BRAKEMuzzle brake in three-baffle construction offers highly effective muzzle flash and felt recoil reduction. TRG muzzle brake is an alternative to a suppressor. Suppressor quick mount muzzle brake can also be provided based on requirements.

LOGISTIC CASEWaterproof and airtight case with pre-cut closed cell foam interior protects the TRG Sniper Weapon System during transportation and storage keeping all parts of the system well organized and ready for deployment.

DEPLOYMENT KITDeployment kit includes emergency spare parts and tools. The kit fits into the logistic case providing additional protection for small and delicate components of the Sniper Weapon System. Easy to take along when going out on a mission.

TRG BIPODOriginal all-steel TRG bipod offers an extremely stable, adjustable and quick detachable support for long range shooting. The barrel rests below the pivot point and the legs fold to the rear and forward. Wide serrated feet add to the stability.

SAKO OPTISUP TI-S The Optisup Ti suppressor is built to be extremely user friendly. We guarantee weather and corrosion resistance with a full titanium construction. The Optisup Ti suppressor’s construction has a solid internal titanium structure so it’s built to last.

Continuous field and ballistic laboratory tests assure maximum accuracy, performance, stopping power and reliability for Sako military and law enforcement cartridges. Military and law enforcement cartridges are packed in M2A1/M19A1 metallic ammunition cans to meet military requirements. All cartridges (Div. 1.4S, UN 0012) are packed accordingto International Air Transport Association (IATA) regulations.

SAKO MILITARY & LAW ENFORCEMENTCARTRIDGES

TRAININGTraditional full metal jacket (FMJ) training cartridges are designed for limited range training. Training cartridges are designed to be operated in both bolt action and semiautomatic rifles. These cartridges have good accuracy in well-constructed firearms.

MATCHMatch grade ammunition represent the best possible accuracy for long range shooting. These cartridges are loaded with high BC (ballistic coefficient) hollow point boat tail bullets or full metal jacket boat tail bullet to achieve maximum accuracy performance.

TACTICALSako tactical line bullets are designed to have maximum stopping power. Minimized risk for over penetration, engineered especially for soft targets. Tactical ammunition is loaded either with soft point, bonded soft point or expanding solid bullets.

SUBSONICSound suppressors with corresponding subsonic ammunition are provided for special operations when weapons need to be fired as quietly as possible. These products are special order only, requiring specific data from the customer which includes the manufacturer and type of weapon, barrel length and barrel twist rate.

ABOUT THE TWIST RATEMinimum required twist rate for the rifle. Faster twist rates can be used.
