PALM AND PASSION SUNDAY April 9th One Service at 10 a.m.
It is our tradition at All Saints’ to worship as one faith community during Holy Week and
Easter. Holy Week begins with Jesus triumphal entry into Jerusalem with cheering
crowds who suppose him to be the messiah from the Romans. As the events of the
week unfold the crowd turns against him.
MAUNDY THURSDAY April 13th 7 p.m. Sanctuary
The Reaffirmation of your Reaffirmation of Baptism
Yes, it sounds like a mouthful, but it is very straightforward. Just as a married couple re-
news their marriage vows, so on this night you will be invited to Re-Affirm your CON-
FIRMATION. Many people, sometimes as adolescents, attended a series of instructions
that led to the reaffirmation of the promises made FOR them in baptism. In Confirma-
tion, you confirm the covenant God made with you in baptism yourself. On this 500th
Anniversary Year of the Lutheran Reformation, it is a timely moment to reflect upon
your commitment as a Christian and celebrate ALL the wonderful things God in Christ
has been doing in your journey.
We ask you to find a photo of your confirmation for a special picture display. Write
your name on the back for us and bring to the church office!
We have been doing a review of Luther’s Small Catechism in preparation for this evening.
You will be invited to wear a white robe complete with a red carnation if you would like.
We simply need to know how many robes we need. We will also celebrate the Lord’s
Supper and enjoy a nice post service fellowship.
As the day draws near, please continue to reflect and review those incredible basic Chris-
tian teachings of the Small Catechism. If you need a catechism, please call the church of-
fice at (253) 852-4884 and we will send one to you.
Watch for the sign up sheet on bulletin board for robes and carnations. Yes, and we will
take a new photo with your new classmates of the Class of 2017 Re-Affirmed!
GOOD FRIDAY April 14th 7:30pm Sanctuary
Stations of the Cross
This year we will gather in various places to reflect on each of the traditional stations of
the cross. This is also known as the Via Dolorosa or the path Jesus took from Pilate’s
Praetorium to crucifixion and death. This is a quiet service of reflection and silence as we
journey together. Prayer, song and thoughts will be shared.

A Church Pictorial Directory is Coming
We have needed a new picture directory for many years but did not want to put the congregation
through the expense of the professional directory companies. We now have the best of both worlds!
We have the software to make our own directory and a professional photographer as a member to
help us accomplish this task.
PHOTOS of MEMBERS will be taken on EASTER SUNDAY before and after the service. Our photog-
rapher is Bill Zervantian and he will be taking photos beginning on this day. If you would like to talk
with him about a different time, or a makeup session, please call Joyce or Phyllis in the church office.
LENT IN APRIL
Our last Soup Supper is Wednesday April 5th. We eat at 6:00-6:45pm. We start our Review of Lu-
ther’s Catechism at 7:00pm. Our thanks to all who brought soup and bread, those who set up,
and those who cleaned up! Also our thanks to Pastor Jan for her enthusiasm in reviewing the Cat-
echism. Luther would be proud!
You are cordially invited to celebrate
