It is that time of year when families need to begin to register for the upcoming school year in the areas of Weekly Faith Formation, Adult Faith Formation and Sac-rament Preparation for Reconciliation or Confirmation/First Eucharist. Should you also have a middle school student (grades 5th-8th)that needs to prepare for one or all of those sacraments, please fill out the registration forms at that time. Please note: For your convenience, the weekly faith formation and sacrament preparation forms are now combined onto one form. The registra-tion packets can now be found in the vestibule. The Early Bird Registration rate of $30.00 per family starts on Saturday, August 17th and ends on Sunday, Sep-tember 15th. After September 15th, the rate will be increased to $60.00 per family. So, please fill out your registration packets as soon as possible. You can either mail in the forms or drop them off at the parish of-fice. There is a container in the breezeway that is marked for your packets, should you need to bring them after office hours (9:00a.m-4:00p.m). Any questions, please call Sherrie Clutts at 943-4633 ext 217 or email at [email protected].

A NOTE FROM FR. GREG:A NOTE FROM FR. GREG:A NOTE FROM FR. GREG:A NOTE FROM FR. GREG: First of all, I want to belatedly thank the Men’s Club. We want to thank them for sponsoring the resurfacing of our parking lot. And we want to thank them additionally for their part in providing a St. Patrick’s presence at the Old Engine Show. May God bless all of you gentlemen for your generosity of time/talent/resources! Second, through a pair of private designated donations we now have a set of bells through which the consecra-tion can be emphasized as we celebrate the Mass. The General Instruction allows for bells to be rung during the moment at which the bread becomes transformed into the Body of Christ and the wine becomes transformed into the Blood of Christ. We will not be scheduling a new training session for altar servers until the summer va-cation has concluded and the faith formation program has begun. However, if any of our current servers (students or adults) would like an advanced orientation, you can speak to me after any of the Masses. Gradu-ally, we expect the bells to become a standard part of the Mass here at St. Patrick’s.

FAITH PRAYER Almighty God, help us to be disciples

of your Son. If we are struggling with faith and doubting whether we should believe, overcome our obstacles. If we believe, strengthen our faith when it is tested by the difficulties of life. And as we face the specter of death, grant us the grace to see that already we possess your life that death cannot touch. By Raymond E. Brown from A Retreat With John the Evangelist: That You May Have Life
